My Go-To Lil' Ti Guy
May 20, 2014
I love Olight, and this is my favorite tiny light to-date. This is my third upgrade from Battery Junction of this flashlight, and I love it even more than it's two predecessors. I simply think Olight cannot be beat for the price-to-performance ratio. I thought this solid Titanium gem was a steal at under $50 (plus free extras, at least at the time I bought it).
The light output is ridiculous, especially considering such a small form factor, and it's so easy to handle and use. It's always right there when I need it, either in my pocket, or stuck onto something ferrous they included a strong magnet in the tailcap, so it will stick to anything iron-based.
I actually find myself using the "moonlight" (I think ~5 lumens?) mode the most, and the thing will just burn for days in this setting. Honestly, I haven't found her to be a battery-hog at all, and when I need more serious, persistent light, I go to one of my several other bigger Olights for that duty anyways...
I made my own nice-looking paracord lanyard (took all of 5 mins and a few feet of 550 cord), and hooked it under the pocket clip. It stays there indefinitely, but is simple to remove if I would ever want to.
I can't recommend this little champ enough - even the packaging is like a little solid presentation box. My only gripe is that in probably less than a year or so, Olight will put out an ever better revision, and I'll just have to own that one as well.
In short, you CANNOT get a better solid-titanium bright-as-hell little torch than this.
Thanks Olight & Battery Junction!
PRO-TIP: I highly suggest you get a "B-Lit" holder clip to hold this or any other light of this diameter or less, as they are amazing. See my second photo below...
Pros:Titanium - rugged, rust-impervious, and just darn cool
Bright as anything in this form factor
Cons:No lanyard (but this is very easily solvable with a few feet of 550 cord and 5 minutes - which gives you something better than you could ever just buy)
