Remarks and FAQ: 1 - Mode/Output Switching: The genius of the MRV DIGITAL is that for tactical users they can know, in advance of activating the light, exactly how it will react. Put simply, the MRV has two switches. One in the tailcap and the other an internal mid-body switch. When the mid body switch is closed (the light is screwed tightly together at the mid-body) the light outputs only at 100% output. When the mid-body section is loosened 3/4 of a turn that opens the internal switch and gives the light a 4 adjustable levels which you cycle through via the tailcap switch; the output levels are High>Medium>Low and Lighthouse (a high output pulse every 5 seconds.) To open the midbody switch simply hold the square battery tube and unscrew the gray part 3/4 of a turn. 2 - When changing reflectors please be aware that the glass lense is retained by the bezel/reflector. Please be careful not to let the lense fall out when changing reflectors. Holsters: Update: LumaPower has a holster now available for the MRV. We also offer four other holsters, all shown below, that fit the MRV. The soft sided MaxPedition Universal Holster would be our recommendation for hikers, campers, casual and most military users (because of it's ALICE/MALICE/MOLLE compatability) and the Black Nylon Holster is another fine choice for this user. For Law Enforcement, Security and similar users we recommend the hard sided Stallion FPSH-AW Holster because the 'tube' stays open thus allowing you to place the light back in the holster without having to look. The last choice is the Stallion PSH-AW Half-Holder, an open tube style holster perhaps best suited to tradespeople and others who want quick and easy access to their lights.
BatteryJunction.com HIGHLY recommends using the 2600mah Li-Ion 18650 PCB protected rechargable battery shown below in conjunction with the TL-100 charger also shown below HOWEVER we prefer the Ultrafire 18650 2400mah Button Top cell, also linked below, for use with the M-65 extender as the button tops ensure the best possible contact when used in serial application.
