Amazing throw for such a tiny light
September 16, 2014
I've had one of these for some time. In terms of lumens, it's no brighter than one might expect, but the reflector design is exceptional, resulting in a nice concentrated beam that will reach out across a room in the dark to check window locks, ceilings, or whatever you need to see. The beam is cleanly transitioned to a bright center, with no dark shadows or irregularities.
Like all small, low-powered lights, it excels in totally DARK areas, as any ambient light will compete with it and cause your eyes to adjust, making the flashlight less effective. It will make it seem dimmer to your eyes.
A battery lasts a fairly long time considering how much you get in terms of throw distance. It's also a well-built, tough little light. The rubber switch cover is still intact on mine despite between 2 and 3 years of use. It is very small, so it can be carried in a pocket with no hassle at all. The pocket clip works well and mine has held up just fine.
Highly recommended. The best AAA light I've used.
Clean beam transition to a bright spot - no shadows or irregularities
Good pocket clip
Gets a lot of time out of one AAA battery
Cons:Does not come with a sheath
Brightness limitations inherent with size constraints
