Great value - work well in kids night light
November 6, 2016
Both of my kids have a turtle nightlight in their rooms that projects blue light on the ceiling that looks like waves, and moves it around a bit while playing some soothing music. its works great to help get them to sleep at night but each turtle light take 3x AA batteries so I was going through about 6 batteries in total between the two lights every 5 weeks or so. I decided to try these batteries and they seem to work great so now I just recharge the batteries every 5 weeks or so instead of replacing them and filling up the local landfill with toxic alkaline batteries. I have also used these in remote controls and they seem to work well.
Prosinexpensive and high capacity. @ 2600Mah
ConsThese are NOT Low Self Discharge cells (like Sanyo Enloops) so if you charge them they will loose a lot of their charge just sitting i a drawer. This means they are not great for things that need full power ideally (like flashlights that you keep around waiting for a blackout). Also they are not the 1.5V output of a regular AA cell (they are 1.2V) so I have had some kids toys not operate with them (this is true of all rechargeable batteries).. Still these work great in things you use daily or often or that completely deplete your battery (Toy RC cars potentially). Fine for remote controls that I have used them in too. I have had soem cells fail about a couple of years but these are so inexpensive that it was not a big deal but I took off a star for that.
