Great value - work well in kids night light
Both of my kids have a turtle nightlight in their rooms that projects blue light on the ceiling that looks like waves, and moves it around a bit while playing some soothing music. its works great to help get them to sleep at night but each turtle light take 3x AA batteries so I was going through about 6 batteries in total between the two lights every 5 weeks or so. I decided to try these batteries and they seem to work great so now I just recharge the batteries every 5 weeks or so instead of replacing them and filling up the local landfill with toxic alkaline batteries. I have also used these in remote controls and they seem to work well.
Prosinexpensive and high capacity. @ 2600Mah
ConsThese are NOT Low Self Discharge cells (like Sanyo Enloops) so if you charge them they will loose a lot of their charge just sitting i a drawer. This means they are not great for things that need full power ideally (like flashlights that you keep around waiting for a blackout). Also they are not the 1.5V output of a regular AA cell (they are 1.2V) so I have had some kids toys not operate with them (this is true of all rechargeable batteries).. Still these work great in things you use daily or often or that completely deplete your battery (Toy RC cars potentially). Fine for remote controls that I have used them in too. I have had soem cells fail about a couple of years but these are so inexpensive that it was not a big deal but I took off a star for that.

Surprisingly Useful
In this day of high-performance lithium cells, its surprising there is still a place for the lowly NiMH. But there are still a lot of devices made for 1.5v alkalies, and that's what I use these in. The voltage output is a little lower, but they seem to make up for that in high-draw devices by sourcing higher current. The Tenergy brand has worked well for me, with only one in 24 going bad so far.

Goodbye Disposable Batteries
Mine came fully charged. I discharged them in flashlights till they were very low then charged them in the Tenergy 8 slot AA/AAA charger sold here. My meter test showed that they averaged 1.37 volts and strangely 1200 mAH, but still a good deal for battery eating cameras. (Note: I didn't take but one voltage test before discharging these to near zero, so it might be I screwed them up by taking them that low and cost them a chance at going to 2600 mAh, if indeed they held near 2600 mAh when they arrived.
ProsWill save you money within a few months.
ConsThis 12-pack and the charger are a pricy initial plunge to take. And there's a chance these fail to be 1/2 their stated 2600 mAh rating.

How does the mAh number affect the battery? The ones I need to replace say 450mAh?
1 Answer
The mAh rating is the capacity of the battery, meaning the higher the mAh, the longer the run time.

Are these batteries available with solder tabs?
1 Answer
Unfortunately, at this time we do not carry the NiMh AA batteries with tabs. Im not sure if these NiCd AA batteries are compatible with your application, but they do come with solder tabs.
