One of the most affordable lights that both first responders and civilians carry is the Maglite. If you carry a flashlight, like the Mini Maglite (AA batteries), the cap alone will not break glass. Attempting to break a window with the stock equipment on these flashlights can cause damage to your expensive light or injure you or someone else with flying glass. Attaching Bust A Cap® to your flashlight will ensure that it will break glass with just one tap without damaging your equipment.

Easily attachable to your existing flashlight or baton, the Bust A is a rapid entry tool that was designed by a 13-year veteran of one of the largest Sheriff's Departments in the United States. This glass breaking cap is being utilized by law enforcement, fire departments, government agencies, private security forces, and civilians around the world, giving them a tactical and safe entry or exit out of an automobile, house, boat, or plane. Bust A Cap upgrades are proudly manufactured in the United States and made from special steel. The simple but efective attachment applies in less than a minute, and requires no training. Bust A Cap can save your life and the lives of others.

Expensive but good idea.

I bought one of these to install on a 3 AA maglite I travel with. The extra length on this flashlight makes having this item a great addition to the end of this and gives me the peace of mind that I have something that I can shatter glass with for an emergency whether in a car or a hotel room. For anyone that's every thrown a chair at a window and had it bounce back, well, it's funny but it scares you half to death in a hotel fire situation if that's your only way out. Now, after having this installed for about two years something squirrely is happening. I went to put new batteries in and when I turn the head of the flashlight it doesn't always turn on. I put the OEM end cap on and the flashlight works fine. I then put this tailcap on a 2 AA maglite and it's working fine. I have no clue why it's suddenly not working consistently in the 3 AA LED Maglite but clearly something isn't making full contact. I would still recommend this to a friend but obviously with caution due to my experience.
  • Good idea.
  • Nice fit.
  • Provides peace of mind but has yet to be tested.
  • Expensive.
  • Not sure it's meant to work with Maglite's 3 AA LED OEM light but does work fine with 2 AA Maglites.
