Heavy Duty Blade
The blade on the Pentagon XR is constructed from a cryogenically heat-treated steel and a high-carbon CTS XHP steel alloy. This ideal combination of steels provides protection from corrosion and wear while retaining its edge and sharpness with little to no maintenance.
Ambidextrous Design and XR Lock
This knife has SOG's patented XR opening and locking mechanism which allows for a smooth, one-handed opening motion by using the kick opener, thumb stud, or holding the XR lock and flipping out the blade. When fully open, it locks into place and can hold an amazing 1500 pounds of force. When closed, the blade locks back into place to prevent any accidental opening. The G10 handle and ambidextrous body design ensure a secure and comfortable grip during use for any user.
