We are seeking a self-motivated professional to serve as a Business Development Representative. This position is newly created at the company so it is an amazing opportunity to help define the role, rise to the challenge and prove your value.
- You must be comfortable making cold calls and adept at getting past the gatekeepers, identifying the decision makers and then work closely with inside sales account managers and management to turn the lead into a valued customer.
- This is a job for a hunter or huntress with strong computer research skills who can take an idea, run with it and make things happen.
- You must be creative and organized: able to formulate a plan, develop it, budget it out and propose it to management in a clear and succinct manner. This is a ‘smile and dial’ role; the ability to stay positive in the face of adversity, to be flexible and teachable is essential.
- You should possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
- Experience: 1+ years of inside or outside sales experience, or 3+ years customer service or be a born sales person who can prove they have the gift.
- BS/BA in related discipline preferred or commensurate skill and experience is always a plus.
- Excellent computing skills with a working knowledge of Outlook, Excel. and the CRM system: Salesforce.
- This is an inside position with occasional travel for trade shows or customer visits.
