Military Grade

The Petzl STRIX IR tactical headlamp is designed with the needs of military personnel in mind. Inside and out, this light is built to be used in the field, during training, and around base for men and women in uniform, starting with its rugged construction. The IPX-67 rating protects it from water, dust, and particulates allowing it to stand up to the dry dust of the desert or the ceaseless moisture of the jungle. A variety of mounting options and lighting outputs means this light is perfect for operational use in any condition. Petzl also developed advanced circuitry to ensure consistent performance over the life of the battery. The STRIX runs off a single AA battery.

Advanced lighting

The STRIX headlamp features a white LED with three separate outputs, starting with the least most discrete and stepping up to the brightest function. Red, green, and blue LED's can also be accessed using the inuitive pule-control system what is designed to be easty-to-use in the field and with gloves. The controls are designed to avoid accidental activation or mode selection, with tactical feedback and a lock-out function. A separate switch controls the infrared functionality, meaning you'll never have to cycle through visible light to access your IR. IR light also has three modes, close-range vision, movement, and identify friend-or-foe. The visible light functions are disabled when the IR is active to ensure your position will not be compromised.

Versatile Mounting System

All of this versatile performance would be useless if the STRIX was unable to come with you in the field. That's why Petzl maximized the potential for this light to be worn or attached to your uniform. A MOLLE clip can snap securely to your vest, while the mounting system can be attached to any helmet with a rail. Petzl's quick-release headband offers another option for users to wear the STRIX securely. A bi-axial rotation system allows the light to be oriented exactly how you need it.Features
