From Li-ion 18650s and 16340s to Ni-MH AA and AAA batteries, you can charge a wide host of battery types and chemistries. Each slot is its own independent channel, meaning they charge separate from each other. You can use slot 2 to charge a USB device instead of a battery by plugging into the integrated USB output. The charger even has an on-board program to rehabilitate IMR batteries that have been completely depleted. (Some less-common types of batteries, specifically 4.35V Li-ion and 3.7V LiFePO4, will require the charging voltage to be adjusted manually. The easy interface makes this a breeze.)
