Fenix E20 Flashlight-2015 Version

An Array of Exciting New Features

The E20 from Fenix has been improved for the year 2015 and has been given an array of exciting new features for this purpose. One of these features is that you don't have to shake it for it to work, like you had to with the previous E20 flashlight. The flashlight body is very tough, as it is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum that has a type III hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish. Anodizing is a process where the aluminum is treated to make it more sturdy, resilient, and abrasion- and corrosion-resistant. In order for it to reach that point, the aluminum has to be put into a tank of sulfuric acid, where a DC (direct) current is circulated through and is used to generate the aluminum oxide layer that is the main component in the hard-anodized finish. A Type III anodized finish indicates that it is the strongest form of anodization coating because it is the thickest. This process is also performed in colder conditions than Type II anodizing is.

Prepared To Remain with You for the Long Haul

Fenix's E20 is outfitted with a long-lasting CREE XP-E2 LED that can run for 50,000 hours, meaning that this flashlight is prepared to remain with you for the long haul. With the E20, you have the option of using two Ni-MH (nickel-metal-hydride), two double AA alkaline batteries or two lithium primaries. Your Fenix E20 2015 contains four brightness levels for the ultimate flexibility in lighting power. These levels are: turbo, which is 265 lumens; high, which is 95 lumens; middle, which is 35 lumens; and low, which is 8 lumens. It must be said that the run times for the lumen outputs are different with each type of battery. For NI-MH, the run times are as follows: in turbo mode, 1h 20 min.; in high mode, 6h 45 min.; in the middle mode, it is 22h 35 min; and in low mode, 75h. For the AA batteries, the run time for the turbo setting is 30 min.; for the high setting, it is 4h 45 min.; for the middle setting, it is 20h 5 min.; and for the low setting, it is 75h.

Unique Heat Dissipation Rings

The 2015 edition of the E20 has a beam distance of 210m, which is very impressive considering that it's a palm-sized light. It also has a unique feature in its heat dissipation rings, which are similar to a heat sink, in the way they work: cooling the unit and preventing overheating. Unlike other flashlights, its tail switch is indented, which means that the E20 can be propped up to stand on its own, which is a very convenient thing. On that note, the tail switch is, furthermore, "reversed," so you can manage your flashlight with just one hand. The Fenix E20 includes reverse polarity protection, which signifies that your flashlight will remain functional even if the batteries are placed inside the flashlight incorrectly; damage to neither the flashlight nor the batteries will occur.

A Flashlight You're Sure To Be Satisfied With

In addition, this flashlight has a high IPX rating, that of 8, so it provides strong protection against water; in fact, the protection with an IPX-8 rating is so strong that you can dunk the flashlight in up to two meters of water for an extended period of time and the flashlight will still continue to work. With Fenix's own digital output regulation, your E20 will give you a stable and reliable beam. The E20 is equipped with a hard, "ultra-clear" lens made of glass that has the added benefit of being anti-reflective, meaning that your flashlight lens will have an enhanced capability to shine brilliantly, outdoing other flashlights of similar sizes; this anti-reflective quality also curtails reflection potential. Your Fenix E20 comes with another wonderful characteristic besides all that has so far been mentioned: an "intelligent memory circuit" that instantaneously recalls your previous brightness setting. The E20 2015 model from Fenix includes a lanyard, two spare O-rings and two alkaline batteries. It is a revamped version of earlier models that you are sure to be satisfied with!

not sure what (headline) is ???
August 31, 2017
I can not get the Fenix E20 (2015) that I received to achive the (4th) click of mega 265 lumens. It only works in low, medium & high. My last Fenix E 23 or 25 was much brighter flashlight. I would send it back; But I had to literaly tear the packaging in peices to get the Fenix out of the plastic case. My other Fenix lasted more than 5 years and the rear switch broke after constant daily use. I did not want to spend the time to send it back to china and be told that the model that I sent them was no longer manufactured. I hope my experience / problem with the Fenix E20 is rare and Battery Junction is not having similar sales / returns issues.
Thankig you in advance on this matter......... J. A. Estraviz
