Fenix TK75 - 2015 Edition

Power Packed Upgrade

Turbocharged LED lighting

The Fenix TK75 has been updated to an all new 2015 version, combining the best features of the older model with new technology that pushes this powerful hand-held searchlight to the limit! Now featuring 4 CREE XM-L2 (U2) LEDs, the TK75 can emit a stunning 4000 Lumens. The classic deep dish reflector takes all of that lighting power and amplifies it in to a 2,264 Feet beam distance, competing with the strongest hand-held searchlights. Combined with Fenix's high quality standard and the popular design of the original, the new TK75 is a great pickup for hunters, campers and emergency responders.

Energy Efficient

It just keeps going and going...

Running on either 4 rechargeable 18650 batteries or 8 primary CR123As, the TK75 makes the most of whatever energy source you provide it with. While the Turbo and High modes can manage several hours of uninterrupted lighting, the medium mode is where this light's energy efficiency really shines. On the medium setting the light emits 600 lumens for over 11 Hours! That's the full output of a standard tactical light with several times the longevity! Whether you need the full blast of 4000 lumens or a healthy 600, the TK75 will keep your surroundings lit longer than competing lights.

Quality Engineering & Construction

That's one thick hunk of aluminum!

A high powered searchlight isn't worth a thing if it can't take the rigors of daily use. The TK75 is built with durability and versatility as primary features, with solid aircraft grade aluminum construction that protects the sensitive electronics from any sort of drop or impact. The light has also been rated IPX-8 Waterproof, meaning that it is ready for any weather condition and can even be dropped in a body of water without becoming damaged. The TK75 is made for heavy duty work in all fields, take this light on the go and see just how powerful and reliable it really is!

Excellent light
July 31, 2016
I have researched lights on blogs, tests, reviews, everywhere imaginable for the last 2 years.
You can get one that throws a far distance just to say "my light throws 1000 meters" but what good is it actually to have a pencil beam light??
I am very partial to Olights and also was leaning toward the Nitecore TM lights as well.
Of course I wanted a light with good throw but I also wanted a light that is usable if I walk out in my yard and want to light up the area for 70 yards.
I am not going to be trying to locate an intruder or animal between 700 and 1000 meters so I am not worried about those ranges.
This is my first Fenix light and I can say the quality is top notch, the light is better than I hoped.
I live in the country and can walk around my porch and shine out to 300 yards. Everything is illuminated extremely well.
It gives good flood to let you locate something close as soon as you turn the light on.
The light is perfect for what I wanted.
If I could make only one small improvement I would like to see the battery life displayed on a readout.
This light you have to push the power button two times fast and see how many of the 4 lights are on and the number of flashes to get the battery power.
Unless you are doing this often you have to pull the manual out each time to see what the flashes mean.
Other than that there is nothing I would want.
Thanks Fenix.
Pros
  • Perfect all around light for a rural home.
Cons
  • No battery life indicator unless you turn the light on and count flashes

I really like this model. This flashlight has everything you will ever need as a homeowner or a traveling companion. The initial costs are high (unit plus rechargeable batteries). After that the flashlight is an overall winner. If I had to choose one flashlight from my collection, this would be my first choice.
Pros
  • Bright white light
  • Modes are easy to figure out
  • Stands on its end and could be used as table lamp during power outages. If you put a water bottle on the head it will defuse the light nicely.
Cons
  • None, perfect design and functionality.
  • No way to tell what the status of the batteries. The next release of the TK75 I would put that option on a wish list.

Good Light

Good construction. Simple button controls after you get the hang of which button does what. If you want to use this flashlight in emergency situations I would advise training with it and then using it periodically to stay familiar with the button controls. Not as bright as I thought it would be, BUT, very bright. Good four power brightness selections. Low power close up creates a "ghost" of four interlocking beams with a bright center, not one round beam. Very well built battery carriage. A little large in barrel diameter to fit the four 18650 Li-ion batteries, but manageable. I added the TK75 extension barrel and attached the carrying stray provided. Heavy light with eight batteries, but exactly what I needed on my "mini-farm" to check on my animals at night.
Pros
  • Good construction. Simple button controls. Bright light. A work light.
Cons
  • Larger than easy hand held and heavy for routine everyday use.

My 1st Real Flashlight
April 7, 2016
I am in the process of building an Emergency/Bugout Bag and have been buying nothing but the best products available in it, because if I need it then SHTF!! Everything in it must work perfectly the first time and every time. In looking for lighting I came across this site and the TK-35 Flashlight from Fenwick. $200 for a flashlight I thought to myself. That's insane and does not even include the batteries and charger, but I'm building an emergency bag, not the time to be cheap!! So I ordered the TK35 with an extension battery pack, the batteries, charger, etc. $500 later I could not believe I just spent as much on a flashlight as I did my first car!! I was already planning on sending it all back when I received it. Well UPS dropped it off and I though, well lets look at it at least. Opened the package took it out and what I saw was a pretty unassuming look but good feel and weight to it, so what the heck, I'll open the batteries and see what it can do (There is a good return policy) Got the light put together and turned it on. Mistake 1. Did not read the directions (it's a flashlight, why read them!!) I hit the turbo button and then hit strobe trying to turn it off in a panic. The turbo light blinded me and the strobe made me very disoriented and it's not even pointed directly at my eyes. Once I got it turned off, I started laughing. I cant wait until dark to see what it will light up. Similar to a video I saw of the operation of this light before buying there is a power line Pole about 500+yards from my front door. I walked out and turned on the light again ( I had read the directions now). Low is like a low power normal $5 flashlight, level 2 puts out great light, about the look of a Maglite, level 3 is bright enough for anything most people would ever need, now level 4 is like having 2 Really good headlights on a car set on bright!! THIS is a flashlight?? OMG !!! It lite up the power pole with no problem. Great throw, not to much flood, nice clean crisp color to the light. I am loving this thing!!
Pros
  • Easy to use, Actually perform the way the packaging says it will perform. (rare these days).Battery pack extenders for added run time and to turn light into emergency baton. Light color is clean and crisp. Strobe will disorient a person.
Cons
  • The price. By the time I got everything, The TK35, 8 rechargeable batteries, a battery pack extender, battery charger, I was close to $500. Will not run on regular AA batteries. Wish there were some rubberized points on the grip of the light for better grip in all weather conditions (More of a wish then a con.).

I've been a Lumen-Head for for more than twenty years and I remember the time when my Surefire incandescent M6 with a 500 lumen bulb was the top of the heap. This TK75 is so bright, and throws so far it makes me wonder if it can ever be topped! Simply amaze-balls! The build quality and finish are flawless. Great buy. Get the battery extension (or two) and you can own the night for hours. Buy this, you won't be disappointed.
