This light also has dual usage modes unlocked by a rotary light head. For immediate intense lighting, you can instantly access the high brightness setting when the light head is locked. When unlocked, you can cycle through all the brightness settings as well as accessing the self-defense strobe mode, which is great for warding off predatory wildlife.
