Super BrightJetBeam has decided to update their BC25 LED flashlight. So how do you make an already brilliant flashlight better? Make it brighter and add an integrated battery indicator! The BC25SE is a seriously bright LED device that provides long range beam distance. Tremendous power combined with its intuitive features and ergonomic design make it a heavy contender in the flashlight game. The BC25SE has been designed to be lightweight and be superior in the flashlight spec war. It is perfect for hunting, adventuring, and search and rescue missions.
Only the BestThe BC25SE has been upgraded with a CREE XM-L2 T6 LED, so that means that on High mode, this illumination monster produces a super-bright 960 lumens. While in Low mode, 200 lumens is emitted and can run for up to seven hours. JetBeams's agility switch system combined with the simple user interface make operating this light a breeze. Simply twist the head to change from high to low, and the tactical tail switch allows for constant or momentary activation. The high performance optical system and aluminum reflector allow you to project a beam up to 300 meters, which is equivalent to just over three football fields.
Now with a Battery IndicatorPowering this high performance and long range LED flashlight are either two CR123A batteries or one single 18650 cell. You don't have to worry about inserting the batteries in the wrong way and damaging the light as there is reverse polarity protection. The BC25SE comes fitted with a power indicator, so you'll always know how much juice you have left. Constructed from durable aircraft-grade aluminum with a hard anodized anti-abrasive finish, the BC25SE can withstand many drops and impacts. Should you happen to drop it in a puddle or need to use it in the rain, you don't have to panic, the BC25SE is IPX-8 rated and can be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes.

Fantastic high power thrower for the price!
The BC25 SE is a great light on its own terms and terrific for the price. I have both the SE and the original versions and it's impressive how much more you get for almost the same price with SE. First off, it's rated at almost 50% higher lumen output. I don't have the means to test it, but it's definitely got more power out the front. Yet run time doesn't suffer much and it runs roughly the same temp as the original. The new SE version also adds a battery indicator LED on the bezel. At first, I thought this was kind of a gimmick but I quickly grew to love it. My original BC25 is a nice light, but once it drops out of regulation you don't have much warning before the light goes completely dead. I had it die on me a couple times while camping (note- battery life isn't bad but I can't resist playing with the light when I'm out in the woods!). The interface of all of the BC series lights is the same. You have two output settings- HIGH and LOW- set by rotating the bezel. In my opinion this is one of the best features of the line. It's very easy to change settings and it stays where you leave it. No memory or cycling through modes when you need light NOW! Construction-wise the BC25 SE is about the same as its predecessor. You get solid build quality, good anodizing and springs on both ends of the battery compartment. Yes, it works great as a weapon light and has ran fine on my 9mm carbine for most of the year (about seven months now). The BC25 SE has very impressive throw! The beam is clean with few artifacts (for the price) and the range is terrific. It has a strong spot but enough spill to be useful (a great feature in a WML). Maybe I just got lucky with my sample but the color is more neutral/white than any of my other JETBeams, and even whiter than my somewhat-greenish Surefire lights. This isn't as nice a light as my Elzetta Bravo with an AVS head but at less than 1/4 of the price, you wouldn't expect it to be. But I have the feeling that if I showed it to a buddy and told him it $100, he or she would nod and agree that's about right. Pretty high praise for light that's just over half that! I've got a lot of lights that cost a lot more but I will definitely be keeping my BC25 SE in the collection! Highly recommended, and a worthwhile step up from the original BC25.
ProsHigh power; good color/tint (at least mine is); decent run time; great UI; nice fit and finish; good run time
ConsCrappy pocket clip. Seriously, this must have cost JETBeam about a dime to make. It pops off easily and is quickly bent out of shape.

OK but there is better out there
Solid light but a bit bulky for an EDC, imho. Bright, but not easy to move to high mode --takes 2 hands. Recommend Nitecore P12, as it has more features, is just as bright, with a similar price, but much better for my $$.

Works great first time out of the package.
Very bright, 200 yards plus as described.
Proseasy to change from high mode to low. just a twist.

Jet Beam BC25
Strange design for bright adjustment. I was looking for the 'Jetbeam' but found a fixed, non-adjustable, wide beam. Lumen: Plenty bright.

Well worth the $40 sale price.
I was excited to get this light for a sale price of $40. I have a standard BC25 that I've used regularly since 2012 and has been a good light. This Special Edition is definitely brighter and I got it cheaper than the standard model. I have dropped my lights numerous times, got them wet and have used them in mounts on my rifle. They have worked well. I have had no problems with either of my BC25 lights and I use them all the time. I do find myself favoring the special edition over the standard model because of it's improved brightness and throw. I use my BC40 for really good throw and my BC25 for EDC and a good combination of flood and throw. I bought my first BC25 at another site for the $65 normal price and was satisfied. When I saw the special edition for $40 I was not passing that up. If it goes on sale again like that, I will get another one.
ProsIt's a quality light for an inexpensive price. It's bright with a good combination of throw and flood. I like the small green power indicator light.

Good overall light for the price
A lot of light for the size & weight. Great throw, but I wish the pattern was a little tighter. Used it on a recent camping trip and did some late night hiking, battery life seemed just fine (18650).

This light has an average build. The fin and battery indicator light design look cheap. At 960 lumens, it has a very solid beam spill. However, at 200 lumens, the spill is very thin. This flashlight can NOT tail stand despite what its description states because the tail button protrudes a little out of the tail. It fell when I tried to tail stand it. I would not recommend it even if it costs $40.

A lot of lumen's for pennies.
I got the JetBeam BC25 SE and was instantly impressed with the amount of light from this small device. It feels good in the hand, great for clearing a room, and the cost is perfect.

My favorite flashlight
I bought this flashlight about a month ago and was impressed by the advertised lumens and price. After I received it I compared it to several flashlights of various lumens and it didn't disappoint. It throws as far as my Eagltac M34C, is brighter than my Eagletac D25LC2 which is smaller 700ish lumen flashlight, Terralux TT-4 (floody 850 lumens), and in my opinion better than my Nitecore P12 which is about 935 lumens with a little less throw. All are great flashlights that have strengths and weaknesses but for the price the Jetbeam is a keeper.

Great Flashlight For The Price
This is a great light. It is very small in your hand, but an outstanding beam with great distance and great light around the edges.
ProsLightweight and good run time on either 18650 or CR123. Very bright and a great throw.
ConsOnly about three mins on the 960 lumens before the light drops down to 600 lumens because of the heat. But you can just turn it off and back on then back into the 900 lumens so it really is not that bad of a con just a little of a pain in the.........
