So many tools!

Few multi-tools have more to offer than the Surge. You will be prepared to handy many different situations with this model. The locking mechanism feels secure and safe. It is on the larger side, but that is to be expected with all of its components. The holster is a must.

What can I say, it's a Leatherman!!

Just what you'd expect from Leatherman. Well made, useful to a fault (if there is such a thing), but it is heavy and large so a sheath is needed for carrying it around. It has many tools, bits and drivers etc. Don't expect it to solve all your dellemas, but can handle many situations well.

I've since purchased other Leatherman multi-tools because of the Surge's size and resultant inconvenience. Smaller tools also work exceptionally well in most situations so don't overlook those.

Pros

Fairly heavy duty and with many add-ons available. Everything locks (the smaller tools don't in many instances). Short of a garage full of tools, this can save the day.

Cons

Big, heavy, big and heavy. May be more than you need.

THE HOLSTER RIPPED APART DUE TO HEAVY USE.DROPPED TO HWY AND AFTER A FEW 18 WHEELERS RAN IT OVER I GOT IT BACK AND THE BLADE BROKE.SENT IT BACK TO LEATHERMAN AND THEY SEND A NEW UNIT AND A NEW HOLSTER AFTER A WEEK POSTAGE PAID/IT IS A NO B.S. WARRANTY GREAT UNIT AND A GREAT COMPANY
