Ledlenser H7.2 LED Headlamp - 250 lumens - Runs on 4x AAA batteries (Included) - Box Packaging (880002)
Hands-Free IlluminationThe H7.2 headlamp from LED Lenser is a super bright headlamp that is sure to light up the darkest of areas. The lightweight and soft headband is adjustable and enables you to wear the headlamp for long periods of time without discomfort. The H7.2 produces a brilliant 250 lumen beam while in high mode and can operate up to 30 hours straight, while in low mode. Adjusting the brightness is done by the Variable Light Control Technology (VLT), while the Smart Light Technology (SLT) allows you to switch between two energy modes. Energy Saving mode optimizes burning life, and Constant Current mode features electronically controlled, continuous light output. This makes the H7.2 headlamp perfect for hikers, campers, explorers, and adventurers.
Advanced Focus System
Focus Light Where You Need ItFeaturing LED Lenser's patented Advanced Focus System (AFS), the H7.2 can focus a beam where you need it, when you need it. The AFS combines the lens and reflector into one integrated system. The result is an incredibly smooth beam pattern that can be focused or flooded for the most optimum performance in both up-close and long-distance applications.
Batteries IncludedThe H7.2 headlamp is powered by four widely available and efficient AAA batteries, which are included. At the back of the headband is a battery pack that is weighted perfectly so there is perfect balance while on your head. The H7.2 is IPX-4 water resistant, so if you happen to be on a jog or a bike ride you wont have to worry about rain drops affecting your trip.

Great versatile light
I mainly use this lamp for projects around the house. It's fantastic for working in poorly illuminated spaces while allowing you to keep both hands free. The adjustable light intensity is great, allowing micro adjustments for just the right amount of illumination. Highly recommended.
ProsContinuously variable light output Focusable light beam Beam can be angled up or down and, of course, it points where you look Lightweight Comfortable Good battery life
ConsElastic headband stretches out over time and gets loose. It could be a bit more robust.

I have used this in torrential rain, inside buildings simulated rubble buildings. I have worn it over a helmet and it has been banged and scraped. I have got decent runtime out of it on high setting. Really easy to dial down the brightness for briefings/debriefings and when tending to casualties. Controls can be used without taking off gloves. A great higher tier headlamp

would get 5 stars, but for a design flaw
Great headlamp which because of the focusable light blows even higher-lumen headlamps out of the water. The price is right too! ONE glitch - and I can speak from experience having bought 5 or 6 of these over the years - is that the wire to/from the battery pack and to/from the light itself is fragile. Thus, if you're the kind of person who isn't 'delicate' with your equipment, I can almost guarantee that you'll be replacing this headlamp in a year or two.. virtually every one of mine has had an electrical failure (as a result of a broken wire)... mostly at the point where the wire enters the battery pack but also where it enters the lamp. They updated the design a few years back which improved (but didn't eliminate) the battery-pack connection problem -- but they didn't strengthen the connection to the lamp. If they could fortify these connections with heavier wire or better soldering or re-enforce rubber ... this headlamp would be nearly perfect. As it is, I consider it as a '2 year' disposable unit.

I\'ve been using one of these for a few months as my cycling headlamp. It\'s wonderfully bright for disorienting drunk people at night but the batteries don\'t last long when it\'s cranked up all the way, so be prepared to swap them out frequently (I use rechargeables) but on lthe lower setting the batteries last much longer. The adjustable focus is also a nice feature that is well-implemented.

This is by far the brightest headlamp I have ever seen. Comfortable to wear and easy to adjust focus and power lever. Probably going to order another one.

I\'ve used this light for two years getting in and out of the woods in the dark while hunting. It\'s very bright and has lasted. It even saved my butt when a hog charged me while walking out to the stand in the dark. Allowed me a good amount of light to down the porker before it got at me.

The good stuff!
I have used it for a couple of years in Northern Norway where we really need all the light we can get in the wintertime witout sun. It kind of changed the way nature can be enjoyed in the darkness because of its powerful light. It is a true multipupose headlamp that can be used for everything from reading a book in a tent (with lowest output) to high speed activities in the wood. darkness. In complete darkness I have used it for downhill telemarkskiing, high speed offroad bicycling, skating, finding my way in the mountains etc. The first H7 i got was damaged because I put on a helmet without adjusting the cables running along the headband. Also the tightening on the up and down adjustment on the lamp got loose -hey LED LENSER make it with a screw or something that can be tightened. During the really rough lifetime of the lamp it gave me so much pleasure that I will not recommend anything else and I just bought me another one. I recomment it without rechargeable batteries. I always put in new battries when going out for fun so I never has to think about recharging. For multiday trips we do not find power in the montains. Conclusion: Even with the weaknesses it is probably the best multipuprose headlamp available!

The decription says the lamp is an H7.2. But the picture is of the previous H7 model, and the item number (LED-LENSER-880001) is also for the previous H7 model. I want to buy an H7.2, but am unsure if this item being sold is an H7 or H7.2.
The listing is definitely for the H7.2. There was an inline change with the LED producing 250 lumens instead of 155, also the packaging was changed. Other than that the lights looks very similar. Our item number of LED-LENSER-880001 didn't change because of this inline change. Rest assured you will receive the H7.2.
