As with all Maxpedition products, this key retention system is of the highest quality and the variety of ways it can be put to use is only limited by one's imagination. It is very well-designed to be sturdy and last for many years of hard use. The hook is very easy to open and closes with speed and precision. The hook and loop strap is easy to release, but it holds firmly to anything to which it is attached. Once you have one of these, you may very well want more.

I use it on my duty gear to hold keys. Solid quality, but i do wish there was a rubber coating on the hook so it did not jingle so much.
