Super-Compact Flat Flashlight
The Nitecore EDC23 is a powerful flashlight with a minimal footprint. About 23% shorter and 40% thinner than comparable models (i.e., the EDC29), the EDC23 is easy to carry on a belt or in a pocket for daily use, tactical, or outdoor applications. Its ultra-bright output is driven by a pair of cool white NiteLab UHi 25 LED light engines. The beam is enhanced by an Orange Peel reflector optical system, which provides far-reaching light that also illuminates peripheral spaces for maximum visibility.
On the Turbo brightness level, the EDC23 emits 2500 lumens with a high intensity over 20,000cd. This creates a strong beam of light which travels over 915 feet! The EDC23 has 5 brightness levels and a strobe mode, allowing users to adapt the light to any and every scenario - including emergencies. The EDC23 is also equipped with mode memory to reduce output cycling. A dual-button interface with full and half-press functionality, giving fast access to a variety of useful settings, such as Low-Light Momentary Illumination, Instant Strobe, and Instant Turbo.
Intuitive Lock + Power Management
The EDC23 is optimized for easy use, making it simpler to keep track of the lockout control, battery status, brightness level, and more. Lockout is managed by the Rapid Lock, which is just a flipswitch that gives you access to Semi and Full Lockout in a heartbeat or less. The OLED screen on the front of the light is a signature feature of Nitecore’s flat flashlights. It can display the current lumen output/brightness level and battery details like the remaining runtime, voltage, and more. The EDC23 is powered by a 1500mAh lithium-ion battery pack, which is rechargeable via the USB-C port in just 90 minutes. With a runtime reaching 39 hours on Ultralow, charging breaks should be few and far between.
Premium Construction
The short, slim EDC23 is also lightweight, clocking in at just 101 grams - about the same as a bar of soap. It is built using an advanced "sandwich" design. Composed of PVD titanium-coated stainless steel shells, a Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) frame, and an aluminum heat dissipation plate that help cut down on the light's weight and temperature signature. The EDC23 also incorporates an Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) module and auto-dimming proximity sensor for greater protection against overheating. The light is also protected against accidents and environmental exposure thanks to IP54 protection and 6.6ft impact resistance. For easy carry, the light is outfitted with a large lanyard hole on the pocket clip - this is compatible with the included 550 paracord lanyard with a carabiner attachment.
