Multi-Task EDCPrepare yourself that the pocket-sized fury known as the Nitecore MT1C! This compact every day carry LED flashlight combines the world-class durability of Nitecore flashlights with modern technology and a unique user interface. This light has become popular with hikers and campers, as well as law enforcement and EMS responders as a handy and reliable back-up light. We also recommend light this light as an edition to any emergency prep kit to keep at home, at the office, or in your car!
Compact and ToughThe single CR123A configuration is not only practical, but portable. The MT1C's body is only about three and a half inches in length, making it small enough to fit in any pocket or handbag. Despite its small size, this light produces 345 lumens in high mode using an XP-G2 R5 LED. The MT1C is built from hard anodized aluminum that's resistant to impacts, scratches, and corrosion. Precision machinery and O-ring seals allow an IPX-8 water resistance rating for total submersion in up to two meters of water.
Choose Your TaskThe Multi-Task Series' unique interface allows for instant access to exactly the mode you need. The head of the light can be twisted to two positions. When twisted to the left, the MT1C is in its user-defined mode, allowing you to cycle through four output modes, as well as a blinding strobe by rapidly depressing the tail-switch. The light will turn on its most recent mode. With the bezel twisted all the way to the right, the light is in its turbo mode. Depressing the tail-switch when in turbo mode will automatically engage the light's brightest setting. Turbo mode is perfect when you know you'll need instant access to the light's full power - when you're searching through a field, or looking down a trail. The user-defined mode is more useful in closer situations, when you may want to adjust your brightness repeatedly as you look through a tent or hallway.

My favorite EDC
I carried this everyday for about a year until sadly I lost it at work. The size and brightness was perfect for my needs. I'm an electrician by trade but mainly do maintenance work now. I liked being able to lock it to "Turbo" only without the other modes. But also found the other modes handy when I didn't need full power. I used "Turbo" most of the time. Of course using that mode I was going through batteries quite often so I started using re-chargeable CR123's and kept spares handy. My only gripe would be the pocket clip was always popping off of the light and that is how I lost it. I tried bending it tighter but it wouldn't matter as it would always find a way to pop off of the light. Anyway great light and I'll probably buy another eventually but I'm taking this opportunity to try other lights out. And yes I hoard flashlights. I have many.
ProsNever failed. Always turned on when I needed it. Like how you can lock the "Turbo" mode to always come on with out cycling through the other modes. Oh and did I mention this thing is bright!
ConsThe pocket clip was always popping off. Wish you had the option to attach it permanently.

Greatest light ever
Just about everything is good about this LED flashlight--bright, reliable, sturdy, doesn't take up much space.
ProsSmall, compact, yet tough duty
ConsFinding dimmer functions could be a challenge at first use. If you have large hands, you may want to get MT2C with two AA batteries, since its longer shaft may be better for larger hands.

Very well made. A good competitor to SureFire, Streamlight, Fenix etc. The programming modes are a little tricky at first, but a great light that fits in the palm of your hand.
Proshigh quality high output for being so small good runtime on several modes great price
Consnot much. programing could be setup a little different

Nice small light
A nice, small light, plenty bright on high, and small enough to hang around your neck on a lanyard. I found the swith annoying, however - not easy to be sure what it's gonna do when you click it. I would also have liked a "very low" setting, for moving around at night with just enough light to see, but not enough to smoke your night vision.
Prossmall, light, easy to operate
Consno "very low" setting, hard to predict.

2 years of great performance
One of the best lights I ever owned, in pocket and used daily. Has fallen to the ground scores of times, a bit beat up. Always working no intermittent issues or bad contacts. Will buy again.

This replaced my old Klarus. EDC . The beam quality is better, duration is longer and overall quality is better.

I really like the flexibility of this flashlight, and with a little practice, changing modes can be mastered. Its three general lighting intensities work fine for my needs. It has a fairly broad beam pattern with decent spill, similar to a Fenix PD22, if you’re familiar with that model. The MT1C can be turned on in any of its available settings, including strobe mode. This is desirable for walking in an area where you can see well enough without the light, but it can held concealed in your hand and turned on to strobe with one push of the button if someone is approaching and making you nervous. And I always prefer one CR123/RCR123 flashlights for EDC because of their power and compactness. The flaw I find with this flashlight is its pocket clip. It has an intrusive ridge that wants to snag when sliding the light back into your pocket. After carrying/using it for some time, it tends to shred the top edge of your pocket. And even when properly seated, the tail end extends about an inch past the pocket top. I prefer the top of the light to be close to even with the top of the pocket, otherwise it’s easily snagged/snatched and lost. Overall though, a great light at a bargain price.

I just bought it so can\'t say anything about reliability. The quality appears to be good, no defects of any kind on my sample. This light has a very powerful beam and excellent throw on turbo, also very good on hi. And this comes from a single 123A battery, I always use Surefire batteries. Don\'t expect long run time on turbo but you probably can on medium and low, I didn\'t test that yet. My impression that it is not the best to extract every bit of energy that a battery has. But then again it is not top level brand. Fits very comfortable anywhere except dress pants where you need a small light if you care not to spoil the appearance. All in all it appears to be one of the better values in EDC flashlights.

Not 280 lumins
I have many flashlights, surefire, RA Clicky, Pelican etc. I was able to test the MT1C to a Maglight XL50 The Maglight uses 3 AAA batteries, is rated at 139 lumins and retails for $29.00. Comparing throw and spill, the Maglight blew the Nightcore away. I\'m talking nearly twice as bright. One of these lights is not measuring their output correctly and I doubt the Maglight would under rate their light. Very dissatisfied with my first Nitrcore experience and would like to return this one. Battery Junction? Also would like to hear other experiences with the MT1C.

Great size for your pocket, bright enough for most needs, the focus is nearly a perfect mix for distance and wide enough to light the area around the center spot beam. Will buy more of these at a great price of about $40.

Best small pocket light
This is the best carry in my pocket flashlight yet. Previously the best was the T10 Olight and I had also tried the Lumapower Incendio V3U but didn\'t like the power button so recessed. I now use the Nitecore MT1C and I use it every night at work. I am thinking of buying a spare.
