Description
Nitecore 23mm Red Filter - Works with MT1A, MT2A & MT1C

The Nitecore filter converts the focused high-output beam of a normal Nitecore flashlight into a soft, wide angle, diffused flood beam. It is great for close-up and low-light applications, such as wide area lighting, short distance reading, camping, etc.

Red light is used to preserve the eye's natural adjusted night vision; it will disturb eyes the least of all colors which helps your eyes to stay adjusted for night conditions. Red light provides great contrast and is not visible to the human eye over long distances.

Fits Streamlight 1L-1AA

The Streamlight 1L-1AA is a really great all around light but Streamlight doesn't offer a red filter This filter from Nitecore is a perfect fit for it.

Functions well

I use this filter when out stargazing so as to preserve my night vision. The filter fits perfectly on my MT1A, as one would expect, with no wiggling or rattling. While the color rendition is good enough I have found that it is more orange than the Olight filter I have for one of my other lights.
Pros
  • Preserves night vision, as it should
  • Fits light without rattling
Cons
  • Would like to have a lanyard loop like Olight's filters
  • A bit too orange when compared to Olight's filter

Any colour cap will work on 23mm diameter tips. It can too be used as extra protection for the lens from scratches.
Pros
  • Put in on or pull it off was quite easy and it does not fall off.
Cons
  • No yellow / amber colour lens available.
