Fits my Nitecore P12 like it was originally made with it and works flawlessly. Switch feels solid and makes one confident that it will last for years. Just wish Battery Junction sold a weapons mount for this setup.

Gets the job done. Keep it simple

Great for momentary on mode, however in order to change brightness you'll still need to press the button on the flashlight. Works great on my Mossberg 500 Flex series, I used a zip tie to keep the cable manageable.

Need different options

I bought two P12 lights and got two of these with them and mounted one to my home defense rifle. I wish Nitecore made different length cords because my light is right above my VFG and I can't find a good way to keep the wire flat against the rail to avoid Murphy's Law, you know.

Also, due to removing the pressure pad from the bicycle tire inner tube on my vfg numerous times, the wires in the cord were more than likely ripped out of the pad because it doesn't work at all now. All in all, it's a worthy purchase if you know what to do with a long cord and aren't too hard on your product. It should work fine for bumps in the night at your house.
Pros
  • pad is comfortable, not too sensitive
  • cord touched heated gas block briefly and didn't effect internal wires
  • if pad becomes inoperable, on/off button is an option
Cons
  • excessive wire length can cause snags if wire isn't flattened out against the rail
  • poor attachment of cord to the pad caused an inoperable switch
  • need optional cord lengths for purchase
