Nitecore TIP LED Keylight
Powerful Pint-Sized Illuminator!
Potent power in the palm of your hand, the Nitecore TIP LED Keylight is one of the brightest, most sophisticated pocket-sized lights on the market! Less than 3 inches in length and weighing under an ounce, this compact light uses its powerful CREE XP-G2 S3 LED to generate an astounding 360 Lumens that can throw as far as 74 meters - more than enough illumination for most every day lighting needs. In addition to its max output, the TIP comes with three dimmer outputs ranging from 150 Lumens all the way down to just 1 Lumen, fitting the lighting needs for a wide range of situations, from taking a late-night walk to simply marking your location. The innovative light uses a simple dual switch interface, featuring a power switch for turning the light on and off and a mode switch to cycle between outputs, making one-handed operation quick and easy.
One of the TIP's most useful features is its special internal Li-ion battery pack, which can hold a charge of up to 500 mAh. The battery pack can be quickly recharged via the keylight's convenient micro-USB charging port, located on the side of the light. This allows the user to easily restore the battery's charge from any USB outlet, whether it be in their computer, wall mount, or 12V car adapter, letting you charge it anywhere you go!
Choose the color that fits you best! In addition to its abundance of impressive features, the Nitecore TIP is available with 7 different colors for its durable aluminum body: Black, Gray, Silver, Red, Green, Blue, and Gold. Whether you're trying to match it with your keychain or simply choosing your favorite color, the TIP has the options to bring a personal touch to your new illuminator.

I still give it 5 star. While an early failure might put some off, in my experience, Nitecore lights are highly reliable and to make a call on a sample size of two would be irresponsible.
I have so many lights (tending toward addict) but this one light is my first choice for most needs.
The two button interface is ideal; One button for On/Off and the other cycles through low, medium and high.
Thank you Nitecore for leaving out the Strobe, SOS and other annoying "features".
It is remarkably small, thin and appears to be ruggedly constructed. The choice in colors is especially nice when more than one of these is in the home.
Mine is metallic blue, my wife's is metallic ruby-red, and I'm am well advised to keep my hands off hers.
It comes with two attachment rings so it fits/pivots nicely on a keychain.
I'm a color temperature-Nazi, and this light is pretty close to 4500-5000k in my eye based on the little I played with it. It's much like any other "neutral, but not high-CRI" Cree lamp out there. Decent spill, with a wide but soft hot spot.
Anyway, I pulled it out of the box, and threw it on my keychain, and started playing around with it a little bit. Just random testing around the house. I found the interface very intuitive to use. Only took me about 5 minutes to figure out how it behaved. Normally, the regular modes are enough for me to use with the light (low, medium and High). Don't really have a need for the turbo mode, but it's a nice feature to have. And it's executed quite well with the second button. Just press and hold for a bit, and it cranks up like a flame thrower. It is damn bright. I was able to clearly see the leaves in the trees from my front door (which as a guestemate, is aprox 120 feet or so from my front door). Even with the high mode, you can light up that distance pretty well. Has a nice throw with an even flood to either side. Very very handy to have.
I hooked it up to a USB charger (just a normal Samsung phone adapter. It wasn't really dead at that point, but again just wanted to test it out. I guess there was a good amount of juice on the battery, but nevertheless, it took maybe a half hour for it to top off). Another feature I love is the light indicators. Blinking red while charging, and solid green when it's done charging.
As of this writing, I haven't had to charge it since that one time.
So far as carrying it around, it's proven very durable. To preface the durability, i have the light on a keyring with my house key, car key and an Atwood Prybaby. I usually wear cargo shorts (not too loose), and jeans that fit normally. I usually have a knife, gum, and maybe a small pocket flashlight (Olight s10 baton) as part of my EDC gear. I've seen a review about the light getting turned on accidentally (which led to the reviewer returning the light, so I wanted to see how it would function using my own EDC stuff, hence why I mentioned what I always have on me on a daily basis)
Anyway, carrying it day in and day out, I've only had the light turn on accidentally twice. I usually have it on the low setting as a default, so no biggie if it would totally drain. But I guess I caught it in time. Both instances that the light turned on was when I was lying down on my side that I had the keys on. But other than those two times, I've carried this thing in my pocket extensively with other stuff in my pocket, and no accidental discharges lol.
With that being said, and to be fair about it, the gent in the video review I watched seemed to have a boatload more of keys on his ring, so it's certainly possible the weight of the keys might have caused the light to turn on unwittingly. It's just a theory, ymmv.
Other than that, it's been a solid light. no problems, very durable. There's a little bit of wear near the underside of the light near the middle, but you can barely see it unless you look close (a couple of caveats: I don't carry my stuff to look all pretty, but I bring it up because some do, and also I got the silver colored light, and my expierience with it with other items is it hides wear pretty well. So if you're big on good looks, I'd say get the silver one, and shy away from the other colors...although I'm not sure how it's annodized, so I could be way off on it.
Bottom line, this one's a winner.......I reccomend highly
drawing too much attention. The buttons do stick up quite a bit and can turn on in my pocket as
mentioned in other reviews
