I love this mount! After being unhappy with several other vehicle mounts, my original intention was to purchase the Nite Ize Steelie mount. However, when I learned that the magnet was permanently attached to the cell phone or cell phone case, I decided against it. I sometimes have my phone and my wallet together in my pocket and didn't want the strong magnet to affect the mag strip on my credit cards. When I saw the FreeMount, I was sold! The FreeMount is very similar to the Steelie, BUT instead of attaching the magnet to the phone, there's a separate removable "clamp" that attaches to the phone. The piece that clips to the air conditioning vent is very secure and works much better than other vent mounts I have tried. And the clamp piece that attaches to the phone grips the phone very well and has a very strong magnet that attaches firmly to the vent piece but also allows for easy angle adjustment. Excellent product, well priced here on Battery Junction, and Battery Junction processes the order FAST. I received my order in just a couple days but was expecting it to arrive in a week since we are on opposite coasts. Highly recommended product and supplier!
