Small yet strong magnetic mount that keeps my phone where I want it when driving. I have tried several mounts for my Galaxy Note 4 and they have all failed to deliver, bumpy roads knock them loose from the flimsy spring grip or the superior everlasting suction from the no fail suction cup fails only to just plain suck and ejd up as pickup bed art.
Battery Junction offered the Nite Ize steelie a while back and I pre ordered it hoping for the best since I trust the brand for quality. Well so far it has not let me down, from driving down endless west Texas washboard back roads or smooth city concrete the mount does not fail or get tired and turn the phone loose dropping it to my floorboard. The spring loaded clamp holds my phone tight and keeps it in place and the Neodymium magnet keeps the clamp in place without travel or creep. The 3m tape supplied to attatch the magnet virtually anywhere in the cab that has a solid surface creates a solid bond once cured. Although it's a little pricey, but compared to the other mounts I've tried that failed and ended up being trashed economically it's actually cheap by comparison and it works plain and simple. I trust this mount so much that I am probably going to purchase another one in the future for my motorcycle (streaming music and GPS, no talking...ever). I only wish this had come out sooner as my kids wouldn't have learned a few new cuss words not normally heard. One word of advice, prepare the surface properly and LET THE TAPE CURE as directed.
