Featuring a potent Lithium Manganese Oxide (LiMn2O4) chemistry, this impressive battery delivers 3.6 Volts of dynamic power and is able to hold a significant charge of 550 mAh, powering your flashlight for an extended period of time. The specialized chemistry also allows the battery to discharge power at a rate of 2.75 Amps, significantly more than a typical Lithium Ion battery, allowing its host to generate significantly brighter outputs.

just what I needed for my Olight S1R II mini-torch

This is a great special purpose rechargeable battery for the Olight S1R II.
The high-drain capability allows it to provide bright light in the "turbo" ultimate brightness setting.
It recharges inside the flashlight, and provides long-life too.

Spare for S1R

I love my Olight S1R, but it requires this specific type of rechargable battery. Decided I should have a spare. It works great, just like original. The power of this little battery puts out is very impressive & lasts a LONG time between charges. Especially if you normally use the lower lumen modes. It's suprising how long it will produce power & hold a charge.

Backup battery

Purchased this battery as a backup for the one in my S1R II light. Put it in the light, charged it & checked. The light comes on & it holds the charge. In short: it does what a battery is supposed to do.
Delivery was 1 day ahead of the predicted date.

Why can’t you charge these externally? Only in the device?

It must be charged in the light because it is made specifically for the S1R and the S10R III and has a proprietary button which cannot be charged in a charger. Only in the light.
