I was excited when I purchased this light as I had bought 3 Olight T25 previously. But, this ST25 has the side switch and when I hang it on my pocket it constantly switches itself on! I was using it when I painted my mothers house inside to watch for runs and everytime I looked at it hanging on my pocket it was on. I did some investigating and discovered, you do not even have to touch the side switch to make it come on. All you have to do is bump or shake the light and it will come on! I have stopped using it because every time I bump it, it comes on. Batteries don't last long like that!
ProsShines well, good layout on the modes.
ConsBad side switch, comes on with just a bump of the light!

550 Lumens for 1Hr 14Min // Lost for 15 Days in Ice with NTF
I really like this light. I tested mine using Duracell Duralock HR6/NiMH 1.2v 2400mAh (Green and Copper) I have not found any other NiMH Battery out there with a higher mAh rating. Walmart sells them and chargers. The light did get very hot but it survived the test. The batteries sat for about 30 min. right out of the charger for this test. Now a Con followed by a Pro, the clip should not be trusted, (I believe someone else here has also said this) mine came unclipped twice and fell to the ground, but it was my fault that I wasn't clipping it inside my pocket, I find it a bit too large for in pocket carry though. This light does NOT come with any belt pouch. OK, with that said I want to mention that the 3rd time I dropped this light, coming unclipped from my belt with winter gear on, I was cleaning out my vehicle with about 10 inches of snow on the ground. Well I didnt notice it must have just unclipped and slipped out from under my coat and straight into the 10 inch snow. So, a couple hours later while test driving a vehicle I thought I felt it fall out then, well I searched the vehicle but could not find it and I thought for sure it was in a earlier tested Vehicle. Any who ,I thought it lost for sure, 15 days later and a couple more snow events with temps down to -4 F ,the snow in my driveway is now 5 inches of ice and a dash of snow. Finally today is the second day of melt and with my hopes of finding it (just maybe in this glacier ) I did another slow walk on the ice, to my dis belief I caught glimpse of something shiny, the bezel ring and reflector. Oh, I couldn't believe it, I took a couple pics and slowly like an archaeologist I chipped away winters hold around it just enough to actuate the front side button, and ON she came. Outstanding I thought if anything the batteries would have been dead. Well I finished the extraction and promised myself to come up with a better carry method. I am very happy with this light and it using the AA 's matches my GPS and other LED lights that all call for the AA . No need to special pack dedicated batteries for this light.
ProsUsing the batteries I described, I got more then twice the claimed Time ON at 550 Lumen setting, Lights the nearby tree line up quiet well.
ConsNow a Con ,, the clip should not be trusted, ( I believe someone else here has also said this) mine came un clipped twice and fell to the ground, but my fault that I wasnt clipping it inside my pocket, I find it a bit too large for in pocket carry though. A really nice AA flashlight
I have at least six other AA LED lights from Fenix, 4Sevens, Olight, and a couple generics. I like the form and function of this light. I have a Fenix PD32, and this is just slightly dimmer than that 18650 powered light. That is pretty impressive given that I am running the ST25 on Everedy AA's. I like the side button and the fact that you can go directly to moonlight with it, and that it has a memory that powers the light on to your last setting. The light is well built and seems sturdy. It is packed with lots of little touches like the extra o-rings included in the packaging. Overall this is a great light that I'll likely be buying more of.
Pros- Good light output even with standard AA's - Side button allows direct start to moonlight or high - Well built
Cons- Would rather see a rubberized tail switch that is somewhat inset. The flush metal tail switch can be a bit hard to actuate at times.

ProsFit in your pocket and very very very bright

I should've purchased this light from Battery Junction, but bought it from another site. Anyway, Olight did it again with this light. It is also very bright. 550 Lumens from 2 AA batteries is impressive. The pocket clip and tail switch are a new addition. You can also tail stand yayyyy!!. Although this light shines pretty good distance it isn't a thrower, it has a big hot spot which lights up everything just like the (S20L2). This is a great everyday light although it is a little long. I definitely recommend this Olight.
