Warrior 3

The Next Generation of the Warrior

New on the scene is the Olight Warrior 3. This light takes everything you love from the M2R and the Warrior series in general to make the ultimate tactical light. Paired with a cool white LED and TIR lens, the Warrior 3 is improved with a 2,300 lumen output and 300 meter throw - that's an over 25% increase from the M2R Pro.

New Tailcap Design

The Warrior 3 features a brand new tailcap design that makes operation with a remote pressure switch even easier! Now you can truly transform your every day tactical light into a weapon mounted light in a few easy steps. In addition to the tactical tailcap, the Warrior 3 has a side switch for easy access to all 6 output modes. Plus, around the outside of the switch is a series of LEDs that serve as a brightness indicator and a battery level indicator.

Magnetic Charging

It wouldn't be an Olight without magnetic charging. This signature system uses a magnetic charging cable to charge the included 21700 battery within the light. Another perk to this system is that the tailcap is magnetized - that means you can go hands-free when you stick it to a metal surface.

A Very Good Light, Now Improved
April 6, 2022
This 2300 lumen light is visibly brighter than my M2R Pro (recalled) and has a slightly larger spot. The brightness is close to several Acebeam and Klarus lights of mine that have similar lumen claims. It throws a workable light level out beyond a hundred yards. The two level tail cap switch is good for potential tactical type situations and the multi function side switch makes it useful as an everyday light. The moonlight and turbo are easily accessible and I use them the most. This has become my primary light for nightly open space walks and is beside my bed at night. I am not happy with Olight's trend toward more proprietary accessories. This light uses a specific 21700 battery that won't work with any other lights. The magnetic chargers won't work with other Olights. This light won't charge with previous Olight magnetic chargers. I have a drawer full of Olight magnetic chargers that I have to tag and label, because they are not interchangeable. Otherwise this is an excellent light.

Tough to impress
December 17, 2021
I have never been more impressed by a flashlight. I use Surefire and Streamlight for work. When it comes to my home use I choose the Warrior 3. Why? My previous Olights never failed me. My work lights are single purpose. The Warrior is much more versatile. No less durable. When I reach for a light, it has to work. In my glove box or by my front door. It is the Warrior 3. At the ready.

Nice and bright, but not for me
December 12, 2021
Let me first say that battery junction is great to deal with, and I came here to buy a replacement for the Warrior 3, that I bought direct from the manufacturer.
This light is very bright, but it’s WAY too big in diameter, almost comically so. I think they were trying to make it look beefy, but it’s just ridiculous. You have to have giant hands to hold it comfortably.
Moonlight mode, battery indicator, and the user interface are nice.
Magnetic charging is cool, but I would have preferred a common charge port like usb-c.
Or possibly just add a usb-c port to the battery so you have an alternative charging option if you aren’t at home. It has in interesting mix of a super defined hotspot, but with some much weaker spill. The proprietary battery is a massive fail. Yes the life is good and the light output is amazing. But you can't use any other battery with it. Not a 21700, 18650, or commonly available CR123A.
So if your battery is dead and you don't have the special cable to charge it, you're SOL... I came from a Klarus XT11S, so I'm not new to flashlights. I also have a few other Olights that I like. Overall I give it a C-, it's pros are great, but it's short comings are simply too much for me to ignore.
So I'm considering a Fenix PD36R, or another Klarus to replace it.
As the diameter of those lights are significantly less, and I can use other batteries that I already have should I need to.
