Great fit and finish. Love the tail cap switch and magnet. Good feature set and solid feel in the hand.

I have the original Warrior Mini and have had no negative issues with it. However, I can see where some people might have the problems mentioned online about the flashlight turning on in a pocket and burning a hole in their clothing. Additionally, the stainless steel tail-cap on many Olights can be activated with metal objects like bead chains. I have been able to use a bead chain rubbed against the metal tail-switch on the Warrior Mini, Warrior X Pro and M2R Pro and within seconds of trying, the flashlight will turn on. Olight addressed this issue with the issuance of the rubber shield caps for the Warrior Mini. I haven't been able to get the new Warrior Mini-2 to turn on with a bead chain as of yet. Perhaps a change was made within the metal tail-switch but I have not seen or read of such a fix anywhere that mentions a correction has been made to the metal tail-switch of the new Warrior Mini-2.

I have to say, I like the newer version better than the original. It is noticeably brighter and throws a little farther. The Warrior Mini-2 has a slightly tighter hotspot and brighter spill light. The tint is on the Cool White side. The Proximity Sensor does not cause a problem with the shape of the hotspot or spill light. Also, the sensor will ramp down the Warrior Mini-2 on Turbo AND on High. It lowers the output to Medium when an object in front of the lens is about four or five inches away and the flashlight will turn off after exactly one minute if the object is not moved from the front of the lens. This is a very nice feature and it works as advertised.

The runtimes on a fully charged OEM battery were less than advertised by about 15% on all modes. I find this quite acceptable. The battery indicator on the side-switch is not exact and the ranges of the remaining battery power are pretty wide so the user will have plenty of time to know when recharging is necessary.

I can appreciate the additional position to attach the pocket clip allowing for a bezel-down carry. Personally, I use the bezel-up method because it puts the tail-switch in a better position to press when I pull the flashlight out of a front pants or shorts pocket. The pocket clip will spin completely around the body of the light if attached to the tail-end channel. It does not spin completely around when attached to the bezel-end due to the slotted groove in the channel.

I like the option of using the round carabiner to be able to attach the flashlight to items such as a D-ring on a backpack. I most likely will not use it because it interferes with the grip and does not allow for an easy pocket carry. The carabiner ring does not attach securely to the pocket clip channel at the bezel-end because of the groove.

Overall, I am happy with the new Warrior Mini-2.
