A low discharge battery for utility meters, security devices and memory backup systems, the Saft LS-14500 combines power and long lasting energy to create the ultimate electronic power source. This battery features 3.6 Volt power and 2600mAh capacity, as well as a bobbin style cell that provides a low discharge long lasting power source that keeps sensitive electronics going longer than any other battery. Thanks to lithium chemistry, the Saft LS-14500 has a 10 Year Shelf Life, and will last extra long in storage if you need to stock up.

Please note that these primary cells are NOT rechargeable. Under no circumstances should they be placed in a charger. When fully discharged, please dispose of according to your local regulations.

The batteries didn't handle the current draw of incandescent flashlight bulbs.They were either dim or died out quickly.

Great battery for low ampere devices

This includes flashlights on lower settings, say, 50-70 lumens and below. It runs forever on couple of lumens setting. Just make sure your light can work with 3.6 V battery. Any light that works with 14500 rechargeables probably will. So, for higher settings it is Energizer lithium primary but for lower ones this Saft lithium primary. Tested it a little for running in the cold by putting the turned - on light in the freezer for a few hours - no problem at all. This is pro stuff, not your alkaline whatever.

Can this battery be used in a flashlight that uses one AA alkaline, and if so, does the higher voltage increase the LED output?
1 Answer
No, these batteries will not power any flashlights that are not specifically designed for this chemistry. Lithium Thionyl Chloride batteries are primarily used for lower current draw applications. If you are looking for a Lithium primary battery for your flashlight, we suggest the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Please make sure your flashlight is compatible with Lithium batteries.
