The Powerizer Smart Charger is designed to rapidly charge 12V lead acid batteries ranging from 20Ah to 100Ah. The smart charger featurers a three stage charging method to allow easy charging without the risk of overcharging.

\"It Just Works\"

Using this to keep a 20 Ah gelcel battery charged that runs a 12Vdc pump that pressurizes our water supply. Unlike many \"smart\" chargers, this one isn\'t \"so smart that it doesn\'t work at all\".

Instead it gracefully accepts the occasional 10A draw from the battery, and then happily tops it up -- no errors, no mysterious shutdowns. Thus it \"Just Works\".

I am buying another one to add battery backup to another pump.

My only wish is that the cooling fan would shut off instead of running continuously, and that BatteryJunction would get this product on Amazon.com with Amazon fulfillment. Nothing wrong with Battery Junction, but they would sell a lot more via Amazon, and then I could count on the product persisting in the marketplace (and perhaps being upgraded with a thermostatically controlled fan).
