LED Headlamp

The HL55 LED headlamp from Fenix is the latest to join the headlamp party. Weighing in at just four ounces and offering an optimum output-to-weight ratio, the HL55 is great for those long adventures where hands-free illumination is needed. The HL55 is made from aircraft aluminum with a premium Type III hard-anodized finish, so it can withstand several impacts and harsh weather. The all metal housing is designed to dissipate heat allowing for a nice cool experience. You can adjust the beam where needed by tilting the headlamp up to 160°. The headlamp can also be removed from the strap, and used as a regular flashlight, allowing for additional light positioning options not possible with other headlamps.

Lighting Technology

CREE LED

The HL55 is equipped with a neutral white XM-L2 LED from CREE, which outputs a blazing 900 lumens up to 116 meters. With four brightness levels, plus a burst mode, the HL55 gives you total command over the output and run time. Speaking of runtime, the HL55 can operate for up to 150 hours, while in Eco mode. Accessing the user interface is done by the side switch, which will cycle from the 900 lumen Turbo mode all the way down to the 10 lumen Eco mode. To access the 900 lumen burst mode, you simply press and hold the button for over one second to activate. After 30 seconds, the HL55 automatically returns to the previous output.

Flexible Options

Powering the HL55 are either two CR123A batteries or a single 18650 battery. A single 18650 equals the power of four AA batteries, but only half the size and weight. Reverse polarity protection ensures you safety in case the batteries were improperly installed. Features:
