Inova knocked it out of the park with the STS PowerSwitch, which may just be the perfect headlamp. "STS" stands for "Swipe-To-Shine," and it enables you to turn your headlamp on or toggle modes by simply dragging your finger across the active surface. And speaking of modes, you'll have tons of options at your disposal: the white and red LEDs each have a high and low brightness setting. There's even a lockout mode to prevent your STS PowerSwitch from accidentally activating when you're not wearing it.
Two Power Sources = Zero Downtime
The STS PowerSwitch includes a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack that powers up with a standard micro USB cable (also included). The headlamp's red LEDs double as charge indicators, blinking when you're down to your last 5 minutes on high mode. Then you can simply swap out the battery pack for three AAA batteries, giving you virtually uninterrupted light while in the field.
Mount Anywhere, Survive Anything
The STS PowerSwitch is compatible with Inova's multi-mount bracket system. The light can fit into a bike mount, helmet mount, or the included headlamp strap. There's no need to fear if the weather gets nasty, or if you drop your STS PowerSwitch in the water. The durable, sealed polycarbonate housing keeps it waterproof up to 1 M depth, and impact resistant to 2 M.
