Accessing the different output modes is done via the multi-function side switch. You can access strobe mode by double clicking the side switch when the light is on. If that is too much light, you can get into moonlight mode by pressing and holding the side switch when the light is off. Reverse polarity protection will protect the batteries and the light in the event you improperly insert the batteries. The S15R includes a battery power indicator located in the side switch that will glow red when the battery is on its way out. You can then magnetically snap the tail of the light to the included micro-USB charging dock to recharge the battery. An extra USB port is included on the charging dock, so you can charge another device while the waiting for the S15R to charge.
