Very good rough duty light

I've used this light for over a year now in many "unique" environments..... Dirty, wet, dusty, it doesn't matter. Good performer. I've actually taken it, with the light on, and thrown it about 35 feet down the driveway. Bounced around and stayed on just fine. I have also mounted a bracket to my hardhat to mount this light. Works well. It can take a beating.
At least once, mostly more, I use this light every day. It is not my strongest, most adaptable light, but I'd be lost without it. If I did loose it, I would replace it right away. Battery's last a decent amount of time. Excellent value for the price.
Pros
  • Very rough duty. Economical to buy and run. You won't mind if it gets lost or "borrowed", just get another one for this price. Shines very bright. Good distance.
Cons
  • Switch seems to be the weakest link of this light. Still working well, but it does take a little more effort now, than when new. To be expected, but just saying.

Truly 'Industrial' grade!

I'm so used to Sufire, Streamlight, Fenix, etc..and not paid much attention to the 'lower tiers' brands but saw the Rayovac Industrrial light before checking out last order, what the heck for $17 lets give it a try. Wow, this thing is well built! Solid aluminum body, armored (rubberized) head that looks like it would take a beating from dropping. Simple tail switch for the 2 modes, it sets in a bit deep inside the protective end so not a thumb operation friendly. It even came with alkaline batteries set. High beam is a respectable 300 lumen. Low beam is 30 lumens, more than good enough for a long walk in the dark. Verdict is a thumbs up perfect for car & tool box.
