This lantern features two red C4 LEDs that can help preserve night vision and provide you with light that is less strenuous on your eyes. The red LEDs are perfect for reading and comes with an emergency Flash SOS mode that will draw attention from far away. The Streamlight Siege AA Coyote Ultra-Compact Floating LED Lantern has an IPX7 rating that makes it waterproof and it will float if you drop it in the water.

The easy to use push button switch sits comfortably on the front of the flashlight. It is slightly recessed so it is not easily activated during travel or while it is sitting in storage. The push button also works as a battery status indicator. The status indicator changes from green, to yellow, to red, then to flashing red when the batteries reach the end of their usability. When the batteries finally die easily swap them out with another set of everyday AA Alkaline batteries.
