Portable and Powerful

New from SUNWAYMAN is the portable and extremely power P25C. Measuring in at 5.5", the P25C is constructed from aero-grade aluminum alloy and is equipped with the latest LED from CREE to provide you with the perfect balance of size and performance. With a dual switch interface and seven different output modes, the versatile P25C is the perfect EDC flashlight for adventurers, campers, law enforcement, and the every-day-around-the-house person. Carry it on a backpack or in your pocket with the included stainless steel pocket clip to simplify your life, when necessary. A lot of powerful LED flashlights tend to get pretty hot after a while of use, so SUNWAYMAN has precision cut rolling-resistant knurling to dissipate heat faster.

Lighting Technology

Equipped with a CREE XM-L2 (U2) LED, the P25C is capable of emitting astonishingly bright outputs and run times. The dual switch interface allows you to cycle through the different outputs with one hand. A simple press of the side switch will give you access to the 1000 lumen Turbo mode, 300 lumen High mode, 137 lumen Medium mode and finally the 84 lumen Low mode. You can also access the hidden Strobe, SOS, and Aviation Signal functions. An intelligent memory chip in the circuit memorizes the most recent mode used, so there are no surprises when you turn it on. The constant current circuit provides you with constant output, while the high quality smooth reflector allows for a maximum beam distance of up to 208 meters. To put that in to perspective, that is over two football fields.

Primary or Rechargeable

Powering the P25C are either two lithium CR123A batteries or a single li-ion 18650 cell. For best results, it is advised to use (1) 18650 battery. The smart low-voltage protection function will allow the LED to flash a few times and then turn off when the battery's voltage is lower than 2.8 volts, to protect the battery from over-discharging. You don't need to worry if your P25C gets wet because it is O-ring sealed and IPX-8 rated waterproof, so the batteries and flashlight are safe if you happen to drop it in a puddle.

Good while it lasted.
The light dropped from a holster on my belt, the lens popped off and the reflector came out. I'm not too sure if the IP8 rating is for waist height drops. I got other 18650 lights, so I'll be carrying another brand. Will I buy another? It depends.
ProsLower cost than other major brands.
ConsDidn't handle a waist height drop.

Selector SWITCH stopped working after 1 year..... finally decided to write a review.... after another year..... Don't waste your $44.... put it towards an Olight or another reliable brand.... I wish I had !!!
ProsSUPER Bright... Battery lasts.... (Even before the switch stopped working) Lightweight Small footprint
ConsAfter less than a year... the selector switch stopped working

Lot of light and flexibility for the price
The multimode system compensates for the lack of a beam that can be focused, but as it stands it throws a very bright beam, especially as a defensive tool with full brightness and strobe. The fact it also has SOS and aviation modes is a big bonus. Buying my second one. Lower settings available for most normal flashlight uses at extended battery life make this a flexible, versatile light tool.
Conskeep a couple spare batteries and chargers available.

Great output. Doesn't handle short drops well. Connection issue internally
Bought two of these a while back (one for myself and one for my brother) and will give an honest review. Does it really produce 1000 lumens? No but, pretty damn close and the color is much more "neutral" than most which I really liked. Not a fan of blue/purple lights. Feels great in your hand. Tail switch works well. Mode select switch is also of good quality. Battery life is on point with flashlights of similar power usage. Optics are very clean with very good throw/peripheral flood. Does NOT like to be dropped from any distance! Belt clip comes off of the flashlight body too easily. Needs to come with a sheath. And lastly, I kept having issues with the light flickering/shutting off. Found the problem to be with how the center body section comes into contact with the flashlights head. There's a metal ring on the PCB (inside the head) where the middle tube connects to and it shorts or doesn't always come fully into contact. When applying power directly to the head, the light always works. Eventually, my fix (copper wire shoved in between tube and metal ring) stopped working and I removed and re-purposed the LED for a project. My brothers, on the other hand, has yet to have any issues. He's a firefighter and it's an EDC for him. If you start having flickering issues, I recommend just returning it right away and not modifying it like I did mine.
ProsBright, clean and neutral colored light. Very solid feel. Good power management. Easy battery replacement
ConsMay not always work. Doesn't handle drops of any distance well. No sheath. Belt clip is weak. Buying a case is a must.

Nice flashlight with great functions.
Purchased with a 20% discount offer so the price was very good. Flashlight has 4 brightness settings and strobe, SOS, and beacon functions. Unit does not get overly hot when operated on brightest setting for extended period. Not sure I would purchase at full price, especially since it does't come with a case/sheath.
ConsNo case/sheath.

no luck
I know there are 5 star reviews of this light but I had bad luck with it. First one I received did not work at all and was returned to BJ for a replacement. The second one I received would turn on then go out. It kept going on and off. I called BJ but we were unable to figure out the problem so I returned it and ordered a Fenix UC30.
Consreceived 2 lights and both were defective.

Super Solid Sunwayman Entry Into Crowded Market!
Wow! The market for this size and output light is pretty fierce and already crowded with a competitor from almost every maker from the Fenix PD35 to the Olight S30R. Sunwaymans entry into this class of LED light had better be an extremely good one if they are going to be able to compete and I am happy to say that the P25C very much is a strong competitor right out of the gate. Machining and anodizing are perfect and on a higher lever than the lights price would seem to indicate. The ergonomic design is top shelf with heatsinking that also prevents the light from rolling. The light can tail stand, the side switch is made of a very nice to the touch rubber material. The tailswitch is the largest of the class and has good tactile feel. The stainless steel bezel is a very nice touch. As I already own this entire class of LED light now with the inclusion of the P25C I have been able to compare the Sunwayman to all of its competition and it holds up surprisingly well. Output seems to be what Sunwayman says it is and the light has similar mode spacing to the P12 and TN12. Beam profile is a small bit larger than what comes out of the P12. The P25C also has three hidden blinking modes accessible via the side switch SOS, strobe and aviation beacon. What I was left wondering about the P25C was how is Sunwayman able to offer such a well designed and built light at a cost of less than any of its competitors. Turns out the P25C is the only light in this class that does not come with a sheath which is disappointing. Sheaths that fit the P25C and the rest of its class are available at any surplus store. So is the P25C a worthy entry into this class? Absolutely. A lot of thought quite obviously went into the ergonomic design of the light and it shows very well. The anodizing is higher quality than the P12 and TN12. The actual function of the light is so far flawless, nothing about the light looks or feels cheap.
ProsPremium quality in the hand feel. Output claims seem to be on point. The cheapest light in the class. Anti roll heatsink design. High quality side switch. Larger tail switch than its competition.
ConsNo sheath. Even if it to just store the light for awhile most flashaholics expect some kind of sheath not to mention the thousands of first responders around the world that have flocked to this LED light class will be turned off by the lack of not having a belt sheath included. Vague users manual. What power source provides what output and runtime seems to be lost in translation.

Will the P25C run on rechargeable 123A's? What is the run time on the 1000 turbo level?
1 Answer
Yes, Li-Ion 16340 batteries can be used. A run time for Turbo is not provided, as the P25C will automatically switch to a lower mode after three minutes of use to prevent from overheating.
