SureFire Maximus Rechargeable Variable-Output LED Headlamp

The SureFire Maximus's blinding LED fully adjustable from 1 to 1000 lumens, ensuring that you have the perfect amount of light for any situation. The Maximus uses a high performance LED and a custom reflector to produce a wide beam optimized for our natural field of vision. The specially designed large knurled dial allows for output adjustment even while wearing gloves and the headlamp is fully rechargeable thanks a built-in lithium ion battery that will provide you with years of service. A fuel gauge on the headlamp displays battery status and an SOS-beacon can be activated as a light source in emergencies. Built from ultra-lightweight magnesium and attached to a comfortable no-chafe fine-weave headband, the Maximus is ready for any mission.

Best Headlamp Made

The Surefire Maximus headlamp is the best, brightest, most well-designed headlamp with the most compact design which does not require a bulky, tethered accessory battery pack. The headband is comfortable and adjustable, and the lamp has a wide degree of variable tilt to place the light exactly where you need it. The control knob has a "click" feel to let you know when the unit is off, and has a continuous scale of brightness throughout its range. The unit is rechargeable and comes with the necessary charging cable. Its a lot of money for a headlamp, but I have not been disappointed! In fact, I own two of these 1000-lumen units, and will purchase again in the future.

-Price
-Charger may degrade with use, and not deliver to the unit the proper energy to deliver a full charge. (This is just my own opinion. I did have an issue with the light not being bright and thought it was the light. I called Surefire, and they exchanged the unit without questions. I think the actual problem was not with the light, but with the charger). I would NOT change my opinion of this light despite the issue I had.

Great Headlight

So far it has been a great headlamp. It is a flood and dose not shine a long long distance, but you would not want a head lamp to shine far distance. I have the 500 lumens model and I used it a lot and love it as well, but the new one is 1000 lumens and it is bright.
