Lithium thionyl chloride cells feature the highest energy density and open circuit voltage (3.6V) of any battery chemistry. They're also known for their low self-discharge (1% per year). Non-aqueous chemistry enables an insane operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The XOL line has roughly 33% higher capacity than Tadiran's standard TL line.
