This beautiful flashlight is very good at what its for - long distance illumination. Its great fun to see what wildlife roams the mountain behind my house at night. It's narrow laser-like beam also makes a good pointer into the night sky for star gazing parties. The light has a very nicely knurled barrel and great build quality. It has been 100% reliable for the 6 months I've had it. It is quite large, so not practical to take on hikes, but great for its specialized purpose.
