great for packing light
I think that aluminum would have been as good as titanium, and at a lower cost, however I like to carry a light weight flashlight for backpacking, and this one works nicely. It doesn't have the fancy features like some flashlights such as strobe or SOS, but it has the basic flashlight function in 3 levels, which is all that I need.
Pros1. battery lasts longer than my previous similar but less powerful light. 2. Starts at low power, then can be increased to medium, then high. This is simple, and in the correct order of brightness. most of the time, low power is all that is needed. 3. very small and lightweight. 4. Comes with an energizer lithium ion battery
Cons1. The titanium body is a waste of titanium and probably doubles the price of the light.

Great little EDC light
This is a wonderful light; just what I was looking for. However, I hope it lasts longer than the last one I bought. After less than a year, it just died. I replaced it with an aluminum version after getting no warranty satisfaction - not even a discount to replace the failed item. Well, after a year with the aluminum one, I decided to bite the bullet and try the Ti version again. The Ti is beautiful and won't scratch up like the aluminum version. Just hope it lasts...
ProsPerfect lighting level selections Ti version is beautiful
ConsLast one didn't make it a year No warranty support

A Gem of an EDC Flashlight
After 2 1/2 years with one of the black versions of this model, and after having given three more of the black ones as gifts, I had to treat myself to one of these polished TI gems. Yes, it's been noted that the threads are a bit rough, but it is absolutely gorgeous! Just as with my original black IlluminaTi, I can't find a quality-related complaint and have never yet experienced a performance-related issue. I've looked at the other polished TI single AAA lights, but none compares in overall appeal or performance with this one!
Pros--Absolutely beautiful --Just as dependable as the original black model, which I have now had for 2 1/2 years.
ConsNot a single one, unless you want to fault the bit of roughness in the Ti threads. But it does not interfere one iota with reaching the HI setting in a hurry!

After 2 years- great
I have owned this flashlight for more than 2 years. Lost the first one and reordered the same model. I am not concerned about how easy to use, thread issues, etc. It just needs to work every time!! I have never had a failure. I rolled a truck in the middle of a desert and needed to find the cell phone. The squeeze light that I had at the time did not have sufficient light. I swore I would not be without a dependable light again. This one fits that requirement. As soon as I received the new one, I added silicone grease to the threads and forgot about it. It just works.
ProsBright light with reasonable run time Dependable

Excellent value, brightest at this price point
It's slightly longer than the Fenix E99Ti and I prefer the look of the Fenix, but the Titanium Innocations IlluminaTI is noticeably brighter, has longer runtime, and can swallow a 10440, at least on low and medium. I really covet the MBI HF-R, but they are more than twice the price--if you can find one at all. And the MBI won't run on an alkaline or NiMH.
ProsBright, affordable, eats AAAs
ConsCan't safely run (at least, not on high) on 10440s. Slightly bigger than, and not as attractive as, the Fenix E99Ti.

Exactly what I hoped it would be!
This is my favorite EDC light. I was carrying a Preon penlight for quite a while, and while it was a great light it was also a little large for my taste. This light is the perfect size. I just drop it in my pocket and forget about it until it is needed. It uses a very common battery, and is insanely bright for it's size. Perfect! I also love the look of the light.
ProsLight, small, powerful, and classy looking!

Outstanding EDC
Amazing EDC flashlight, especially for the price. Not to mention, it utilizes ONE (#1) common AAA battery (please use lithium; you\'ll be happier you did) to output enough photons to put your nearest sun to shame. Honestly, though, you really have to see/try this light to appreciate how *BRIGHT* it can get! Quality build/materials/craftsmanship throughout. Your friends will laugh in your general direction when you pull out this dinky little flashlight at your next unscheduled toy demonstration... but watch their faces turn from \"is this guy freakin\' serious?\" to \"Marty, call the Libyans again, and tell \'em to bring along more plutonium... I did a little performance-tuning on the flux capacitor, and *LUDICROUS SPEED* is so fast, it isn\'t associated with an actual, numerical value to reflect rate over time... it is, in fact, so fast, that the actual figure it denotes is known by only one person in the entire universe; the wise, the powerful, the ever-lasting know-it-all, (although he\'ll claim he\'s just plain...) YOGURT.

Beautiful and bright, but...
Just got this light in, and it\'s a \"thing of beauty\". It\'s also quite bright with just the AAA. I also have an ITP A3 EOS (upgraded) and it seems like the TI is about the same brightness, but slightly yellower. It\'s also a lot heavier (relatively) than the ITP, which may or may not be a good thing. I had heard that titanium bodies threads were not as smooth. This is my first one, and I can attest to that. I don\'t know if it gets any better over time, but the threads \"stick\", so turning it on is not smooth. Also, with 3 modes, it seems not too easy to go from mode to mode, because of the sticking. Overall, I\'d probably still buy this again, because of how it looks, but for practicalness, I don\'t know if that would make sense.
