"It needed a charge when arrived, (which is normal). At first it seemed to get a little warm so I stopped and used my new Nitecore charger instead of my old standby. It took a full charge with no heat and worked as expected. I probably would not buy this cell again because it cost more than some of the other cells on this site. I did want to try it and batteryjunction always has what i want in stock at fair price. However, I will stick with VTC4, 5 OR 6 for now."
