  • If you have items in your cart which qualify for different shipping offers our system will automatically calculate each correctly. For example if you have one item with 'FREE Shipping', a second with 'Free Shipping on orders over $50' and a third item to which 'Standard Shipping rates Apply' and your cart total exceeds $50 then shipping costs will be calculated based upon weight, distance, and only for non-qualifying items. If the total for the 3 items is under $50 then then shipping will be calculated for items 2 and 3 only — item #1 will not be calculated into the shipping costs.

While over 95% of our items qualify for some type of free shipping offer there are some items which we are unable to ship for free. Typically these are very large or heavy items which are often relatively inexpensive relative to the cost to ship. This is clearly marked on each item's page. While these items themselves do not qualify for free shipping their cost does contribute towards attaining the $50 minimum required for this offer.


BatteryJunction.com prides itself on offering a wide variety of shipping methods that allow you, the customer, to choose the method best suited to your needs and budget.

Our shipping fees are calculated based upon weight, distance, and shipping method. In order to obtain your shipping cost, please add the desired item/s to your shopping cart, proceed to checkout, and enter your zip code or country. You will be shown the available shipping methods, expected in-transit times and costs and an estimated delivery date.

Please note that in-transit times and delivery dates are best faith estimates provided by the respective carriers; we cannot be responsible for carrier or weather related delays. In-transit times are business days. Product availability may postpone shipping dates.

Most orders ship the next business day. We will notify you if there will be any delay longer than 4 days. We happily ship to PO Boxes, APO, and FPO addresses. When shipping to an APO or FPO address please be sure that you leave United States as the selected country for your order. Please remember to allow 1 business day for order processing.

Items weighing over 70 pounds (such as some large sealed lead acid batteries) may require additional shipping fees.

Our Domestic Shipping Services are:

  • Super Saver: The best value option for many orders. Order may ship via UPS, USPS, DHL or FedEx at our discretion. Order must be deliverable to a street address. 4-7 Business Days transit.
  • Flat Rate Ground Shipping & Standard Shipping: Order may ship via UPS, USPS or FedEX at our discretion. Order must be deliverable to a street address. 2-5 business days.
  • 3 Day Shipping: 3 business-days delivery from date of shipment. Orders must be placed before 1:00PM Eastern Time (EST) to ship same business day.
  • 2 Day Shipping: 2 business-days delivery from date of shipment. Orders must be placed before 1:00PM Eastern Time (EST) to ship same business day.
  • Next Day Shipping: 1 business-day delivery from date of shipment. Orders must be placed before 1:00PM Eastern Time (EST) to ship same business day.
  • LTL Freight: Available for orders of 300lbs or more. Recommended for businesses with loading dock or forklift.
  • USPS to APO/FPO, AK, HI & US Territories: 2-3 days to most destinations. Best option for orders shipping to APO/FPO, PO Boxes, AK, HI, PR and Guam.

Our International Shipping Services are:

  • International Shipping 4-14 Days: Orders ship via USPS First Class or Priority Mail International at our discretion. Extremely limited tracking. For high value orders we reserve the right to upgrade or require the (paid) upgrade to International Express Mail shipping.
  • International Express Mail 3-7 Days: Fully trackable. Orders ship via USPS Express Mail International (EMS) or DHL Express at our discretion. The preferred method for time sensitive or valuable shipments.
  • UPS Standard: Ground service to Canada and Mexico. Customers are responsible for all duties, taxes and fees. Please see below.

Customs and Import Duties:

  • Your order may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied by your country when your package reaches your country.
  • BatteryJunction.com ships your package DDU, "duties and taxes unpaid," and does not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur these additional charges, they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs.
  • For more information regarding your country's custom policies, please contact your local customs office.

Special Shipping Offers:

Some items may offer free shipping using a specific shipping method. The free shipping for the qualifying item will be automatically applied at checkout. If you have items in your order that are not qualified for free shipping then you will incur shipping charges for those items, as calculated based upon weight, distance, and selected shipping method.

Can I pay with a check or money order?

Checks and Money Orders:

Yes, we accept checks and money orders. To pay with a check or money order please enter your order directly on the website.
During the checkout process, follow these steps:

On the page where you enter your billing and shipping information, look for the section entitled 'Payment Method' Leaving 'Pay using Credit Card' checked, click on the dropdown under 'Payment Method:' and select 'Check or Money Order.'

Select this option leaving the other Payment Method fields blank. Be sure, of course, to fill out your Shipping Address and select a Shipping Method. When done select CONTINUE

Review your order on the next screen and then select PLACE ORDER.

Your order is now placed and you're on the Order Confirmation screen. On this page you will find the address to mail your check or money order to.

Please be sure to print out and enclose a copy of the Confirmation Page or order confirmation email with your check or money order.

Can I pay with a wire?

Wire payments are only accepted for orders over $500.

For orders between $500 and $5000 there is a $30 bank fee which must be added to the wire payment.

For orders over $5000 we will waive the bank fee.

Please contact us in advance of placing an order if you intend to pay via wire.

Coupons & Special Offers

From time to time we may offer 'Special Offers' and/or 'Coupons.' These cannot be combined and a choice has to be made by the purchaser as to which one they prefer to utilize. Our system will only accept one coupon or promotional code per order. If you use multiple coupons or special offers, the highest discount value will be applied to the order automatically. Product Availabilty/Backorders/Preorders

Availability, Pre-Orders and Backorders:

We make every effort to keep item availability information current so please be sure to see the 'Availability' field just above the item price on our item listings. Most orders ship in 1-2 business days and we will notify you as soon as possible if there will be any delay longer than 4 days. Pre-Orders and Backorders will be charged at the time the order is shipped. We will ship your order as soon as possible and will send a shipment confirmation when the order ships. At our discretion we may ship in-stock items immediately and back-ordered items as they arrive; if this is done at our discretion there will be no additional shipping charges.

Gift Certificates

Here's how to use a BatteryJunction.com gift certificate:

Browse or search for an item you want to buy.

Once you've selected your gift, click on checkout.

On the Shipping Form, you'll see a field that says "Enter the Coupon or Gift Certificate Code."

Make sure that you enter the complete gift certificate code and hit Apply.

Tips and tricks

  • Valid gift certificate codes start with the "@" sign.
  • If you have more than one gift certificate, you can enter all of the codes separated by commas.
  • If you have enough funds on the gift certificate to cover the cost of your order you won't be required to enter any payment information.
  • If you don't have enough funds on your gift certificate to cover your entire order, you will be required to pay the remaining balance.
Order Discrepancies

Please check your package to verify that you have received everything you ordered. We eagerly want to resolve any discrepancies that may have taken place. Please check for any missing items, items damaged in transit, defective items or wrong sizes/colors. We must be notified of any order discrepancies within 7 days of the date of delivery. Any notification of a discrepancy more than 7 days from the date of delivery will not be considered.

How do I go about returning a purchase?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If a product doesn’t meet your expectations, our return process is straightforward. Please review the guidelines below to understand eligibility, timelines, and requirements.

General Return Guidelines

  • All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  • You must request an RMA within 7 days of delivery.
  • Once issued, RMA numbers are valid for 15 days; returned items must arrive within this timeframe.
  • Items must be returned in the same condition as shipped. Products that are modified, welded, or soldered are not eligible for return.
  • Special orders are not returnable.
  • Return shipments should be sent insured.

Refunds & Restocking Fees

  • Refunds are for the purchase price only, less a 15% restocking fee.
  • Shipping, insurance, and handling charges are non-refundable.
  • If an order qualified for free shipping, the cost of standard ground delivery will be deducted from the refund.
  • Refunds may take up to two billing cycles to appear on your credit card statement.
  • Restocking fees may be waived by a Customer Support Agent in certain cases (e.g., exchanges for defective products).

Replacements & Defective Products

  • If a product is defective within 30 days of purchase, we will replace it with an item of equal or greater functionality.
  • Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We cover the cost of shipping the replacement item on domestic orders.
  • International buyers pay shipping both ways.
  • Outside the 30-day period, only the manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable) applies.

Open Box & Used Items

  • Open box or used items may be returned for credit after inspection and processing.
  • Replacements are generally not available for open box products.

Cross-Shipping Policy

  • We do not offer cross-shipping.
  • To replace a defective item, request an RMA for refund or exchange.
  • If needed, you may place a new order immediately; your refund will be processed once the original item is received and approved.

How to Request an RMA

  1. Request an RMA within 7 days of delivery (have your order number ready; if unavailable, provide last name and ZIP code).
  2. Include the RMA number clearly on the shipping label or outer box.
  3. Ship the return insured and ensure it arrives within 15 days of RMA issuance.

Returns without an RMA cannot be accepted.

RMA Processing Times

Most returns are processed within 2–5 business days after receipt, provided the following criteria are met:

  • RMA number is clearly identified on the label or package.
  • All original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents, packaging, and UPC codes are included.
  • No physical damage caused by the customer or carrier.
  • Item is within warranty when received.

Does Battery Junction Collect Sales Tax?

Sales Tax

Online purchases may be subject to sales taxes. The sales tax for your order is based on state and local tax rates determined by the destination address for your order. Gift cards are not taxable but purchases made with gift cards are subject to applicable sales taxes.

Tax Exemptions:

Battery Junction charges sales tax on all orders shipped to applicable localities placed by customers for whom we do not have a valid tax certificate on file. Tax certificates can be sent by email or fax. Your taxes can be refunded once the form is validated and applied to your account.

Documentation:

Please contact Battery Junction if you require a copy of any business license or tax certification in your state. All such documentation is publicly posted at Battery Junction's place of business.
