"This fits perfectly on my D sized 3 cell Maglite and the outer dimension matches up perfectly. It does not fit well on my 4 cell and I'm surprised there isn't two versions of this tailcap. On the 4 cell, it is undersized. The wall thickness of my 4 cell Maglite is several millimeters bigger around than this tailcap so it looks weird and doesn't match up well."
"These are high quality and well made. They will work perfectly on the older style maglite flashlights. They will not fit the newer LED rechargeables however. (ie: RL1019) The threads and springs are different."

"I have been after one of these animals for quite some time and found them buried away here on the Battery Junction. What a great addition to my 5 Cell D Maglite (with the Terralux Mini Star 31M upgrade). Gives me great feeling of security in the event I have to break a windscreen getting out of my vehicle or having to smash my way into another. I have this funny feeling that someone will soon ban these down under with all our other nanny state laws."
