Efest has launched its newest battery - the IMR 18650 V1. This battery is a rechargeable 18650 with a lithium-ion (li-ion) chemistry, and that has a sub-chemistry of lithium-manganese-oxide (LiMn2O4); its voltage is 3.7V. The capacity is 2600mAh, which is an ample amount of energy that will power many different devices. The charging current on the IMR 18650 V1 is 2A (Amp), and its ultimate charging current can go up to 4A. The discharge current is a strong 30A, and its pulse discharge current is 40-60A. This is a flat top battery, which means that the terminal at the head of the battery is flat, and not, for example, button-shaped, like you would see on a lot of alkaline primary cells. IMR in a battery indicates that it is designed for high drain items and also that the cell is unprotected. An unprotected battery is one that does not have a protected circuit board (PCB). The end voltage after the battery is discharged is 2V. The discharge temperature range of the IMR 18650 V1 is -20°C-75°C/-4°F-167°F, while its charge temperature range is 0°C-45°C/32°F-113°F. 8m is the internal resistance measurement for this battery.
