"The 357/303/76/AG13/44 cell is used in all kinds of electronic gadgets and toys. Have you ever opened one and found the contacts (and cell) all corroded? That's the plague and death of many of these little devices. Some, like electronic calipers, are not cheap dollar store toys. And even some cute toys, like Thomas toys that make sounds, aren't cheap or easily tossed. If you have an electronic device that uses button cells and that you don't want ruined by Alkaline leakage , look to Battery Junction for Silver Oxide versions - most cells found at retail will be Alkaline (LR) not Silver Oxide (SR), putting such devices at risk of being ruined by corrosion."
