"Best for use in-close, wide-angles, great around camp, not the best for night-hiking through forests on narrow trails, if you want the ability to look further up the trail or through the woods in bear country. Better for locating misplaced items around camp or in the yard, or quickly finding the racoon that's circling your camp. Barely defined hotspot past 10ft. 2-button system works great. Impressive battery life."
