The P16 is operated using a straightforward dual switch interface, made up of a tailcap switch to activate the light and a mode switch just below the head to switch between outputs.

The body itself is crafted from durable aerospace-grade aluminum, complete with a hard-anodized finish for extreme resistance to both water and shock damage, making it perfect for use outdoors. The light's LED is protected by a toughened ultra-clear mineral glass lens, which is sealed tight by the head's retaining ring. The P16 even comes with internal protections, including an integrated impact resistance mechanism and reverse polarity protection to prevent damage caused by improperly installed batteries.
