Fast charger
"I have three other Nitecore chargers (D4, new i2 and old i2). The SC4 is the fastest and provides the most information. Four stars, only because the top contact that touches the positive end of the battery is very narrow and round. The positive end often slides off the contact to either side, losing contact and then the battery will not register. I have to be careful when putting the batteries in each slot and making sure the contacts are made at the positive end."
Why so tight Nitecore?
"I purchased this charger to mainly to charger NiMH batteries, size AAA, AA, C, and D. It works great for this and the information on the display is a nice upgrade from some of the older models. My major concern with this charger is the compatibility with Nitecore 18650 batteries. I have tried charging an NL1835 HP and while it does charge the battery, inserting and removing the battery is very difficult to do without damaging the outer wrapping of the battery itself. They only needed to make it 2 mm or 1 /16th of an inch larger to avoid this. It is too tight to safely use 18650 batteries in this charger. Attempting to do so will damage the battery and likely be a safety hazard. So now the 'best' (well at least the most expensive) battery charger I have, cannot charge my most commonly used batteries NOT RECOMMENDED for Nitecore brand 18650 batteries. I expected better and am not too happy with this one *Image 1 shows overall fit. *Image 2 shows how little room there is once a Nitecore 18650 is inserted in the slot. *Image 3 shows damage to outer wrap after just one time inserting it and removing it. Imagine what it will start to look like after a few dozen chargers, let alone 500."
BEST Charger at ANY Price. This Charger is a Must Have
"So I wanted a charger that would charge at least 4 batteries plus do it quickly. I mainly use for high current 18650 but have used for many other types of batteries as well. What I love is that I can select charging rate from 300ma-3Amps, now we are talking. In the 3 Amp mode it brought batteries back to life that other chargers could not do. Very amazing charger for the price. Besides the 18650 batteries I have used for 12340, 14500, 16340, 26650, AA. C and D. Folks this is the charger you want. I have tried many different chargers but this one is the charger of choice for me. All the others just sit in a box now till I have a swap meet sale. BJ is the best and offers quality at lowest pricing. Thank You"

"Was sceptial at first, but it is as simple as putting in the battery and walking away. My first charge were 2 D cells and 2 AAA cells. The AAA cells finished first and so I put in 2 more AAA's and they all were charged. Very simple to use just place batteries in and the charger does the charging."
