A Durcacell CR123 battery is a different battery all together to the A27. It is 3V - it is about 34mm length and has a diameter of 17mm. The CR123 is often used in camera's, security devices, flashlights and medical devices. The A27 is 12V is 28mm in length and 8mm in diameter. They also have different uses. The A27 is used more for keyless entry systems, dog collars, electric fences and other devices.
