Description

Powertac E9R-G4

Long Runtimes and High Lumen Outputs

The Powertac E9R-G4 is a new tactical light with a classic feel. Powered by either one 18650 (included) or two CR123A batteries, the E9R-G4 has incredibly long runtimes providing enough illumination for any task. Combine that with a 2,250 lumen turbo mode and you're set for success in any field. On a single 18650 battery, the E9R-G4 can last over 2 hours in turbo mode! An incredible feat for a light so small!

New Charging System

The E9R-G4 features the new Powertac magnetic charge port and its benefits. This new port combines the user-friendly magnetic terminal for attachment in a snap, but also contains the capability of accepting micro USB cables. The micro USB port is concealed behind the magnetic hub and port for easy access. That way, if you forget one charging cable, you won't be left without your light.

Durable Construction & Interface

Compact with detailed, diamond-shaped knurling, this light fits comfortably in the palm of any hand and ensures a secure grip. Built for extreme use, it withstands the rigors of weather and drops thanks to IPX8 waterproofing and 2 meter impact resistance. This light can combine with almost any standard weapon mount with its 0.90" diameter making it the ideal light for law enforcement. The single switch near its tailcap is easily controlled with one hand and accesses all brightness modes (and strobe) without a complicated interface.

Great light

"I have enjoyed my new flashlight by powertech it is small but very powerful I love it"

Randall (5/5)

Turbo clicks off and goes to lowest setting.

"I love the features of this light but unfortunately I cannot carry it for duty. Sometimes when I go to the highest setting the light goes to it's brightest momentarily and then will dim to the lowest setting so I cannot trust it for duty use. I have tried charging, taking the battery out and re inserting it and even running the battery dead and charging it to full. It still has this intermittent issue. Otherwise it's a great light."

Vince (2/5)

Perfect flashlight for law enforcement

"Awesome brightness Two buttons you don't have to cycle through, Perfect size Not over priced, got it on sale for $65, i don't want to spend $100 on a flashlight and then lose it. The holster is useless, very hard to put in and hard to take out. I wish they make a holster for molle vest."

Sargon (5/5)

Small and light powerful bright flashlight

"This is a conveniently small and powerful flashlight with five light settings and a strobe mode. The quality of the make of this flashlight is superb as well which is why the slightly higher price than other flashlights makes it worth the price."

Chuck V. (5/5)

Great value

"This light is awesome. Its compact, bright, tuff and at a great value."

Angel (4/5)

Very Nice Light

"This little light is a great little flashlight with excellent runtimes. The light has super memory, but the downside is it's cheese grater grips and a plastic holster I chucked it after trying to get it to fit. Fortunately, I had a few extra cases that fit fine. It's a great EDC light, but I still prefer Klarus. The bad part about Klarus is that they just drop technologies (such as the RS20s magnetic charge) without adequate parts and support. But it and Nitecore are still my favorite lights. The SRT7 Nitecore was taken down to 65 feet by divers and it functioned fine. Powerpac has a lot of potential, but they tend to be overpriced for what you get. It is innovative and it's made in the USA. The memory function is so logical one wonders why all lights don't employ it."

John R. (4/5)

Good little flashlight

"Good little flashlight. Don't expect a long run time in 2500 lumen mode. But yes it is bright. My favorite newly discovered feature about the light is that the charging process incorporates a magnet instead of plugging it in. A real plus."

Brighter than you think!

"I've owned single cell flashlights for the past 15 years as i carry one on me at all time. Everything from Olight to EagleTac, to Fenix, i've owned them all! This is my 1st PowerTac light and so far im just thrilled to death with it! I did learn a few things about the light like it will not work with flat-top batteries, and for some reason some batteries will cause the light to shut down the instant you turn it on. Im not sure if those particular Battery's are overpowering it or what so keep that in mind. You can make a flat-top battery work if you attach a 1/16th magnet to the top of the cell so it will contact the connection inside then it works fine. Also IMR cells that are not protected are shorter than a protected battery so you'll have to use a thicker button magnet to take up the space so the battery won't rattle around inside while in use. The best thing is to just use a protected button-top battery. Also this light has some extremely coarse knurling so you definitely won't drop it under any conditions! After 6 or 8 months of use i'll come back and let you know how it's going. Al in all it's an awesome flashlight."

Powertac is top tier technology

"I have lights by Powertac, Nitecore, Olight, Streamlight, Surefire, and more. Every weapon on a long gun is a Powertac Warrior, E5 or E9. Their build quality is suitable for all of the impacts and recoil on a long gun, knowing it is going to work every time. I retired my EDC E9 (probably to go on another long gun), For the E9R. While I compared the two next to each other, at first glance one would thing that the beam isn't twice as bright on the E9R. What I discovered is a throw similar to the E9 with a much wider range. It provides a much better peripheral ring of light that is void of shadows. This is my new EDC. I like the magnetic charger as well. One thing that you will notice is that it takes high drain 18650 batteries. Make sure if you decide to use an 18650 it is high drain/discharge. Otherwise, it will trip the batteries protection to prevent damage."
