Professional Waterproof Headlamp
The Princeton Tec Apex Pro is the ultimate lightweight headlamp specifically designed with professional runners and extreme adventurers in mind. It's been slimmed down from it's original model and has the added feature of having a rugged, waterproof housing for lens and batteries. The Apex Pro is powered by CR123 lithium batteries which can also stand up better in cold weather, making it a favorite for extreme outdoorsmen and women doing a wide variety of activities.
LED Technology
The Apex Pro has features that are leading the way in core technology. Now with a 550 lumen output, this light is equipped with a Maxbright, and four Ultrabright LEDs, both regulated and dimmable, and with the added bonus of an LED optic collimator, you are guaranteed to have the most efficient lights all packed into one lightweight headlamp. All featured LEDs are regulated, which means they have regulating circuits that maintain initial brightness as long as the batteries have sufficient voltage, or constant brightness. The Maxbright LED is the highest quality available, a single LED emits a smooth, powerful, bright white light useful in a range of tasks. The Ultrabright LEDs put out a smooth, bright white light ideal for close to mid-range activities. These lights are even more powerful with the Princeton Tec proprietary LED optic collimator, which takes all available light from the LEDs in the form of scattered rays and re-emits them as parallel rays, making it more efficient than a standard reflector. Princeton Tec calibrates each collimator to the type of LEDs with intended application of each light to provide better illumination whatever the task.
